Pros: I own 2 pairs of these for a total of 64GB. I have these paired with an Asus Sabertooth x79. These DIMMs coverclock very well
Cons: I do not like the heatsinks and the red color is line a neon red one would find on swedish fish candies. I think that the vengeance series ram is marketed to those who want something flashy rather than elegant
Overall Review: I purchased these for a customers build however these really clash with the colors of the Asus sabertooth x79 motherboard and I would recommend ANY corsair dominatior DIMM over these simply because of looks even when the specs are the same. Although you many not believe me when you see the photos above you will when you are designing an epic case
Pros: Overall, from install to now I have had no issues with this RAM. It sits perfectly in my Mini-ITX build and keeps things smooth while working or gaming. My motherboard had no issues picking these up from boot.
Cons: I have no cons about these.
Overall Review: I would recommend to anyone needing 8 to 16 to more GB of RAM in their computer.
Pros: With 32 gigs, I set 20 for ram disk- faster than the ssd. lots of fun. not one crash yet, still trying.
Cons: none yet.
Overall Review: I was told no one needs 32g of ram. I say why not.
Pros: Fast! Cheap! (well, it was when i got it)
Cons: Cant seem to squeeze out the full 1866 speed. Currently running at 1836 (918Mhz). This is with the "standard" XMP setup.. I have not manually tried to play with any settings.
Overall Review: I did not knock an egg off since it could be a configuration on my side. I have not run any real benchmarks, but the WPI is 7.9 for the RAM.
I configured a RAM drive and copied a 4 GB file from my SSD to RAM-Drive at about 300 MBytes/sec. I then made a copy of the 4GB file on the ram drive faster then i could click the "More details" button. (not a real metric i know, but i was playing!!)
Intel i7 3770 Ivy Bridge @ 3.4 Ghz (not OCed)
Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe
XFX 7950 @ PCIe 3.0 (850 Mhz Core and 1350Mhz Memory)
Memory clocks at (XMP):
2T command rate
Pros: Fast as grease lightning!
Cons: It might say 10 CAS but it's so fast who cares.
Overall Review: This is my first 32 gig of memory setup. Think I made a good choice.
Pros: Outstanding memory at 1.5v - couldn't really ask for anything more. Haven't experienced a single issue.
I purchased this memory for my ASUS Z-97 Pro motherboard, combined with an Intel Core i& 4790K CPU. The combo works great together, and has since day 1. I haven't had to touch much of anything.
Anytime you are purchasing memory, you need to look at the motherboard manufacturers website to get the memory/vendor compatibility information (ASUS calls this the QVL, or Qualified Vendor List). For me, that was at http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z97PRO/HelpDesk_QVL/ Always triple check sku numbers and part numbers, as sometimes it can get confusing when a vendor repackages memory under a different number (or version...). As always, check the reviews as much as possible to see what other people have experienced.
These dimms were listed on the compatibility list for the Z97-Pro, and were one of the highest speed chips I could get that still ran at 1.5v (important to me - I didn't want 1.65v dimms)
When it came down to it, I had a couple brands to choose from, but I choose Corsair because of the high quality and reliability I have experienced from them in the past. This instance was no different - not a single problem with installation, setup, or stability. Again, I highly recommend these for supported motherboards.
Cons: Happy to be able to report I don't have any cons at all. I plan on purchasing another 16gb kit soon.
Pros: I have no need to con Corsair at all. 32GB's is more than enough for anyone, but WOW I love these things.
I build maps, I photoshop, I multi-task search, & a lot of the times all at once....
These things hold up rather well.
I have dual monitors and actually had softwar, IE, & a video running on one monitor & my game on the other. This does have a lot to do with video, but the Corsair Ram is holding its own very well!!!
Cons: I dont have more.
Vengeance dont have a cool light up Airflow that the Dominator does.
Pros: Fast and easily overclocked w/no heat issues
Easy installation and recognition with no issues
Kept my system blazing without any memory related OS Win7 x64 error(s) for 6+ months
Cons: None for me or my rig. We both love these SDRAM modules.
Overall Review: Installed from QV list provided by my mainboard manufacturer - Asus Sabertooth Z77 TUF
