  • newegg Real-time monitoring and control with Corsair Link Put the AX760i under your control by connecting it directly to a USB header on your motherboard with the included cable, or to a Corsair Link Commander (available separately). Then, download the free Corsair Link Dashboard software for unrivaled power supply monitoring and control options. Monitor power input and output, efficiency, fan speed, and internal temperature, directly from the Windows based application. Or, take it to the next level and set up and modify fan speed profiles, or even select from virtual “single rail” or “multi-rail” software modes, with selectable OCP points.
  • newegg Stable and Reliable Power Delivery DSP-controlled, real-time voltage regulation helps ensure that your valuable components receive clean, stable power.
  • newegg Less Heat and Lower Operating Cost AX760i's extreme efficiency earns it coveted 80 PLUS Platinum certification. Less wasted power means minimal excess heat. This can reduce the strain on your other components, and it can save you money over the long run in the form of lower power bills.
  • newegg Quiet Operation at low loads Super-high efficiency has another benefit: silence. The thermally-controlled fan doesn't even spin at low loads. It's ideal if you're building a quiet PC or you just want to reduce the amount of ambient noise in your life.
  • newegg Easy installation and cable routing, with better airflow The fully modular cable set allows you to use only the cables you need, and the flat design makes cable routing much easier in tight spaces. You get a clean-looking system build with cables out of the airflow path for efficient space usage that's energy efficient as well.
  • newegg Superior components and better engineering High-quality capacitors provide uncompromised performance and reliability while Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) achieves PF value up to 0.99. Over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and short circuit protection keeps your critical system components intact. The Corsair AXi Series PSU is also engineered to meet maximum power output at a server-grade 50°C temperature rating.

Good while it worked 4/16/2016 4:14:10 PM

Pros: I liked this quiet power supply. Loved that the fans were not always on. Liked the software component as well. Didn't really care for the fact that I had to use a USB header to connect to the motherboard, but it is what it is and not worth subtracting an egg - after all, some type of connection is required.

Cons: It lasted 2 years before it started shutting itself off intermittently. Power supply tester didn't find the problem (because it is interment). Only my new mobo with a bios enabled to tell me that it received power supply surges indicated what was going on. So - longevity is an issue. Two years is pretty good compared to other reviews but IMO terrible for a power supply.

Overall Review: I have been working with computers since the mid 80s. I've had exactly 0 power supply failures in that time until today.

Corsair Customer service sucks 10/23/2015 5:14:25 PM

Pros: While it worked it was beautiful and did what I expected. The ability to make digital rails and data reporting through corsair link, very quiet only heard under the heaviest of loads, almost everything I want in a high efficiency power supply.

Cons: bought in january, broke by mid september, not what you want for a nearly 200$ product boasting a 7 year warranty. Granted everyone gets a bad part once in a while but when it's impossible to replace the warranty is worthless.

Overall Review: Corsair customer service is terrible, I've spent more than a month trying to get them to send me a proper replacement and they keep sending me the wrong item and expecting me to pay for shipping each time. It's not a difficult concept, I send in one product I expect the same or better returned as part of my warranty.

watch out ! 7/7/2015 9:35:57 AM

Pros: ?

Cons: I've owned this PS for just about one month It started intermittently shutting itself off, restarting itself for no apparent reason. I even tested it with a different motherboard, same symptoms, very disappointing with Corsair on this one

Good 6/20/2015 8:22:57 PM

Pros: Excellent build quality it feels like a mini tank holding it. Platinum rating, long cables,

Cons: Fan. Corsair (or Flextronics) uses a fan that has a tendency to make a whusss noise. For example, if I am playing a game that puts moderate load on the power supply, it will start to spin every now and then. When it spins, it goes all the way up then back down to silent. You can easily tell by the sound of the wind inside the case.

Do you feel lucky? 6/12/2015 11:49:22 PM

Pros: Digital voltage control is the most precise and stable PSU tech available, gives award winning best in class performance... while it works. Corsair Link monitoring is kinda cool... while it works.

Cons: Bad quality control and/or inherently unreliable design. Seems to suffer a much higher chance of flaky behavior and early failure than normal. High strung, not robust, like using a racing horse to haul freight. Corsair Link is notoriously buggy and unreliable, but luckily it's not that important a feature.

Overall Review: Roll the dice. Do you feel lucky? These PSUs are either excellent or awful, not much in between. I got a flaky one, it shuts itself off (instantly dead, no PC shutdown process) randomly after anywhere from 2 seconds to a few hours, even when swapped into an older perfectly stable PC. Once it died in the middle of some critical system disk write and I had to restore the whole drive from backup. Also triggered my mobo's anti-surge protection once. Also, though factory sealed, arrived with both EPS CPU power cables missing and 2 extra PCIe GPU power cables instead. Had to request the missing EPS cables be replaced before I could even try using it, and then they only sent me one. Luckily my mobo only needed one, so I didn't bother complaining again. But then I discovered the instability issue.

Be aware that you're no longer eligible for a refund if you send in the rebate form. You can still get it replaced under warranty, and if you're willing to play RMA Roulette enough times you will eventually get one of the good ones, but it's a huge hassle and you end up needing another PSU anyway to keep your system running while you wait for processing. Plus, I've now lost any confidence in its long term reliability, even if it worked perfectly for months I'd always be worried that it might instantly die at any moment. I need my PSU to be rock solid and confidently forgettable, not a constant worry. Back to Seasonic for me.

760i psu 4/22/2015 10:25:20 AM

Pros: Quiet, Modular, Easy install

Cons: Died after a few months.

Overall Review: I had this unit for a few months when it just died. No warning, just dead. I tried a spare TX750 and my pc fired up. I sent an RMA request and was accepted. 3 weeks later I have a brand new unit. Lets see how long this one lasts.

Silent Power 4/12/2015 9:05:51 PM

Pros: + Rarely reaches temperatures that require the fan to turn on. So silent as a rock.
+ Fully modular
+ Comes with decent cables
+ CorsairLink allows you to rough idea of your power consumption.
+ Corsair Link also made me realize that power consumption is highly overrated. I can barely manage to use more than 400 watts with an i7-5820k@4.6ghz and a GTX 780 Ti while gaming.

Cons: - Corsair Link is very awkward to work with, and has extremely limited functionality other than power readings.
- I can't attest this personally but hardware enthusiast sites have reviewed the readings from Corsair Link and in some instances CL wasn't reporting the correct values.

Overall Review: Best PSU I've bought yet, if the price would come down just a tinge I would by a second for my other system.

Mixed bag 4/6/2015 11:48:45 PM

Pros: Ruyns very quiet - high efficiency. Software can tell you power draws on individual buses and major power lines, as well as efficiency at various loads.

Unit is fully modular - every cable bundle can come out of the unit, makes it nice and easy to install.

Packaging is top notch, comes in a velvet bag.

Cons: CorsairLink software is quirky. USB dongle interface is cumbersome and unwieldy inside your case.

Unit is fully modular, I've had 2 RMAs now on the main motherboard cable bundle developing an internal short - and when it does this it continuously power cycles your computer - extremely stressful on computer (possibly damaging to other components) This reason alone is why it gets knocked down to 1 star - can possibly damage your other components. I normally wouldn't write a review, except this is the second unit I've had exhibit the exact same failure

Overall Review: Wish they would have spent some of that money that went into the nice packaging on better cable bundle quality - it would have been a great PSU.

I am RMAing this for the second time on identical faults, I will resell the RMA unopened and replace it with a different brand.
