Can you set the color to any color you want or does it alway stay multicolored?

You can set the color on all the fans connected to the controller at the same time like all will be same color can't set them individually to different colors but you can set to any of the colors that it can display red, green, blue, white, purple, yellow, and orange and all effects will use the color you have selected

If I want to buy 4 of these fans to use with the Corsair lighting node pro, do I need to purchase fans with or without controllers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you need to purchase the fans controller at least one of them. One of these controllers can control the LEDs up to 6 of these fans. These fans also have 2 cables coming out from the fan, one for the power (standard PWM 4-Pin) and one for the LED (looks like a different cable). Make sure you have sufficient PWM slots in your motherboard or your fan hub. Good luck building your PC!

Can the 140mm fans be plugged into the controller that comes with the 120mm model, and vice-versa?

Yes the HD 120 and 140 use same controller I personally have 3x HD 120 and 3x HD 140 plugged into the same controller the one that came with the HD 120 3-pack but you and not use the HD fan on the Corsair SP RGB fan controller  it's a different controller
