7 years almost maxed out and still running 7/5/2018 12:21:57 PM

Pros: Has tons of options for components
Durable, durable, durable. I've had this psu for going on 7 years and during that time I've ran an over clocked 770 (230 watt) and an over clocked I5 (95 watt) with four 3.5 inch hard drives and one SSD, a combo drive, high end mother board, six fans one of which is a 200mm, and an onslaught of usb devices. Never once has it come up short.

Cons: Lacks haswell support (kind of stretching here because it was a pre-haswell power unit)
The fan is by far the loudest fan in my system, and that isn't saying much considering it's decently quiet.

Overall Review: When this psu decides it wants to die, I'll be ordering another corsair unit without even the slightest hesitation.

6 years in power surge alley central FL 8/10/2017 11:11:15 AM

Pros: Pushes a lot of hardware
Lots of cables for ease of additions
work horse and reliable
taken more power surges than I can count. I live in Florida where there are constant lightning storms and after 6 years of running consistently on except for the power surges, I gotta say I am extremely pleased with this product.

Cons: Cable management is a nightmare. It's really the only thing bad about it.

RIP TX650 12/2/2016 6:45:23 AM

Pros: Good While it ran. I used the fancy bag it came in for other stuff.
3star b/c it failed and messed up my soft raid 1

Cons: Died after 5 years and 6 months of daily us (Great out of warranty). My HHD Raid 1 kept dropping out of software raid and discs would disappear. Found in Asus Bios that I was only getting 9-10 volts on the 12 volt rail. The ssd still powered up as the 5v and 3v were still good. I hope i can rebuild my data raid. the discs really took a hard hit because of this psu failing. Had to get an antec from the metal fastener store and it is solid at 12v. bummer

Overall Review: sure it was a good psu. nothing lasts forever.
I recommend putting appropriate money into good psu and the rest into external data backup / recovery

It's a great power supply! 1/21/2016 5:09:29 PM

Pros: I've had this power supply since 2012 and it hasn't missed a beat. I did a lot of research and corsair has been really good to me. Haven't had any issues with overclocking an i5 sandy bridge to 4.3ghz, running 5 hdds, and a GTX560ti.

Cons: None.

Fine Product Never received rebate. 1/19/2016 1:18:27 PM

Pros: Good quality product

Cons: Never received the promised rebate making it not worth the money.

Overall Review: Not sure if I would recommend buying from Corsair if they promise a rebate.

Good while it lasted 8/6/2015 3:01:56 AM

Pros: It was reliable for around 4 years.

Cons: Once I upgraded to a GTX 970, oh boy did the coil whine kick in. I wouldn't mind if it was just that but it seems this thing isn't putting out proper voltages anymore, previous stable OC's on my 2500k are now causing blue screens from lack of voltage forcing me to revert back to default settings.

Overall Review: I could probably take advantage of the RMA but meh I think I'll be purchasing the 750W PSU from EVGA this time around as I heard that PSU has noticeably less whine with the 970 while having a 10 year warranty and gold rated. Still four years of heavy use is nothing bad I guess as all power supplies fail eventually.
