Does this drive come with the rails needed to fit it into a 3.5" bay?

Accepted Answer

No.  Though it's certainly not recommended, I found I could just place my drive on top of a properly mounted one.  Since it's solid state there isn't much danger in it moving around during normal operation.

Question 2

How is this(Corsair SSD) compared to the Samsung SSD's (performance, price, utility, etc) because I've heard many good stories about Samsung SSD's and I'm not sure if I should use something that isn't as well known as my first SSD in which I'm saving up for. Can you give me some light on this product?

Haven't owned a Samsung SSD but i can say this has been a really good SSD, I too wasn't sure about getting this one but it was on sale so i took a chance, It's got really fast read/write speeds, Doesn't get hot during heavy use, and It uses less power then other SSDs i have used. Haven't had any errors or issues yet. Its very good quality, Doesn't feel flimsy. You can even use the Corsair Toolbox software with this SSD.

Question 3

Im getting this for my PC and replacing my HDD with this SSD. Is there anything else i should be getting with it like mounting brackets or cords?

It will depend what your PSU (cables) and case (brackets) come with.  The SSD itself does not come with anything extra.  You will need a Sata data connector & a Sata power connector. Your PSU and motherboard should have came with them. If not just make sure you get the correct Sata connector as your MB. For mounting it comes with the standard 4 mounting screws on the sides or bottom to allow you to mount in any drive bay. I wouldn't even bother getting any extra bracket if you don't have an open space, SSD's are so small and light get some good Velcro and stick to open area of your case.

Is this compatible with HP Pavilion dv7 series Laptops?

Hi, I have a HP Pavillion dv69XX that I bought about 8 years ago. I was ready to buy a new laptop, but instead I bought a Force LE SSD and my HP now works faster with out any problem. Even my laptop has a SATA II interface I was able to install the SSD with no problems.

I use Windows 7 x64 and the Performance Score for the hard drive is 7.4

I have read in the reviews that the Corsair Force LE seems to have trouble on some systems.  Will the Corsair Force LE 480GB work with the MSI Z170A Tomahawk AC motherboard?
