Laptop or desktop? I installed in a desktop running windows 7 64 bit. You'll need to buy the 3.5 tray adapter ( about $5.00). Hook it up and start comp. Once your booted up run disk manager to format it so your comp. will recognize.

Will this work with a Dell Lattitude D610 laptop?

I actually didn't end up buying this... but to answer your question, it won't work with an older Dell laptop without some fiddling. This SSD is standard 2.5" drive size (same as a laptop HDD) but has standard SATA connections. I believe the Lattitude uses an older IDE pin connection, which would require an adapter for any newer drive. Keep in mind that the adapter will take up extra space which is not always feasible in a laptop set up. Also, I don't think you will get significant speed increases with and SSD due to the older laptop hardware.
