Just installed in a new system. When I hit the power button on the motherboard the CORSAIR HX1200 PSU just "clicks on for a few seconds, clicks off, clicks on for a few seconds, clicks off". It is on just long enough for the CPU and GPU cans to start turning. Is this DOA?

Make sure you also have the additional 4  or 8 pin connected on mother board, for CPU. Don't use older or other manufacturer cables on this psu, some  modular cables have different pin out. Those are most common things that cause this issue. Less common on hook your ssd, some ssd have thin shell and close tolerance to internal parts, have seen them ground out. Without more information that's my best guess for right now hope it helps

What cables can I purchase to have additional cables? I need compatible 8pin to dual 8pin etc

These power supplies are pretty limited, suggest contacting corsair. I had to use a million adapters to get the connections I needed. By the way periodically check cable temps at power supply, have several friends have these melt down.good luck
