can you put a H100i in push pull with a Asus Maximus VI or will it not fit?

The Mini-ITX Boards should all be the exact same size, With the Gigabyte Z87 board, it was able to fit. The screws were touching the edge of the board though. So you'll need to either tighten the screws that hold the fans into the radiator to the point where they are being squashed (should be ok). or you will need to remove the bar that helps hold in place the radiator.

Hi there, I've never built a computer using Mini-ITX components and was just confused on if there was the availability to install a CD drive?

There's a 5.25 Optical bay slot on the front that allows you to install a CD, DVD or Blu-Ray Drive of your choice. It's easy, just pop the cover off and slide your drive in. It's screwless too, there's a latch that locks the drive in.

Question 3

I am interested in a small form factor case such as this 250d or Hadron Air.  I would like small form case for small efficiency and portability.  It seems the Hadron Air would not have an issue with either of these things.  Can you guys comment on the 250d's space efficiency and portability?  Are you guys able to comfortably carry the 250d with one arm?

Hi, I'm not sure if my response came through as I was replying via my cell phone over a bad signal so I'll just repeat what I said, just in case. :) This case was much bigger than I expected it to be. If you're a big guy, you shouldn't have a problem lugging it around -- although it's definitely not something I'd want to carry for long distances (I'm 6'1"). The SilverStone case I also own is much smaller and I really like it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163208 It's much more cramped, but that's what you get for a smaller case. The Corsair one is much friendlier when it comes to putting the drives in. Plus, the extra room in there is better for bigger hands. (It all depends on what you favor most). I hope that helps. Feel free to ask me any more questions. Oh, one thing, the Corsair does not come with a power supply. Any full size power supply will work.

Question 4

Can this case accommodate a optical disc drive in the front ?

It will fit one if you keep your water radiator smaller than 240mm. I have the H100i and the hose prevents the drive tray from sitting flush.

Question 5

What kindof RAM will fit in here along with a mitx mb, optical drive, h100i and an evga 780?  Can I use ripjaws?  Or do I need to go low profile?

Layout of your mobo memory slots would determine what memory you can use! I used an Asus board that had memory placement parallel to the back-plate but on the back-end of the board (towards the front of the case)so I was able to use any style memory (I did use Ripjaws). Just as a suggestion, I would also recommend that you replace the front 140mm fan with a 200mm (Corsair sells a 200mm fan on their website but any standard mount would work) to cut down on your noise without affecting airflow. Also make sure that the H100i is the first thing you install (must be mounted in holes highest up towards the top of the case) as you have to remove the optical drive cage to make room for install! Would also recommend that you use a full modular PSU to help with cable management!

is one able to have an audio board in addition to a video with this case and mini-itx asus mobo?

As far as I know, this would be more of a limitation of the mini itx motherboards than the case itself. There aren't any mini itx motherboards that I know of with more than one slot (PCIe usually). So you either have the option to have a graphics card or a sound card. I do know that the Asus Maximus VI Impact motherboard is kind of an exception on that it has a dedicated sound card that doesn't take up any slots.

Can you put an optical drive in this?

Accepted Answer

There is a spot for an optical drive, however, if you are planning on haveing a large heat sink or a radiator, there is a chance you won't be able to fit an optical drive.  I have an Antec 650 in mine and the water tubing makes it so that an optical drive won't fit.  I think that if you're using any standard heat sink that comes with the processor, you should be fine.

will a micro atx board fit, or it has to be mini Itx?

In all the documentation and product literature I've come across only references compatibility with mini-ITX.

The case has one set of mounting studs for a mini-ITX.  Not sure if mini-ITX and micro ATX share the same mounting hole orientation and spacing.

With a micro ATX board having nearly a 3" larger perimeter on all sides compared to the mini-ITX I can't see it fitting this case.

For a micro ATX board I would recommend the Obsidian 350D.

Question 10

will an MSI R9 270 GAMING 2G fit in this case?

My GTX 570 from EVGA is 4 3/8 inches tall and 10.5 inches long. It fits fine.

The R9 270X is 10.24 inches long and 5.08 inches tall.  You may have a problem with the power connectors. there will be only .75 inches of clearance above the card when installed.  That is if you remove the optical drive bay bracket.  
If you can bend the wires of the power connector enough, then it may fit.  Height is the determining factor here.

Length is fine.
