Corsair's website said it would work in my Toshiba (PC) laptop. However, the computer wouldn't boot with this RAM. Then NewEgg zinged me with a hefty restocking and shipping fee to return it.

I purchase this to use with a Lenovo E450. It doesn't seem to work. Did I buy the wrong type of RAM or is the RAM modules defective?

I believe the problem is your laptop requires DDR3L ("L" for low voltage of 1.35 volts). You are trying to use standard DDR3 which uses 1.5 volts so it's not getting the needed power. You need to get the correct memory as this won't work.

ok I have a Toshiba satellite c675 laptop. from 2011. I have 4 gm of memory. I have a max of 8 that my sys can run. this is what I choose for my sys hoping it will increase my speed. I also have asus 1900 router which has a 2.4 and 5.0 band. with the advice of oddice depot I purchased a dlink 11ac dual band ubs adapter. I was told this will allow me to run on the 50 band. where as before I could only do the 2.4 band. does this make sense? I caught much grief trying to install the dlink. my sys would not allow me to in stall it it was blocked. so my creat a second administrator page on the comp.do you think this will work with your ddr3 chips? next step is afaster is provider like xfinity what do you think? waiting for a ans

First, you must be running a 64-bit Operating system to see any benefit from adding any more RAM than you already have. You also must make sure that this memory is compatible with your system. You can use the memory compatibility tools on the Crucial website to determine this. Once you have the correct specs, then come back to New Egg to get the best pricing. The amount of memory in your laptop has little to d0 with whether or not you can install the USB adapter. The speed of your USB ports and the Operating system are more important for this.

I have a macbook pro 13" early 2011.  I have 4gb of RAM memory and want to upgrade to 8gb.  It has two slots for memory.  Not sure if I have (2) 2gb memory chips now or (1) 4gb.  What usually comes in a macbook pro new?

Depending on what version of the OS you have, if you go to the apple menu, and go "about this mac"  there should be a tab in there showing you what you currently have installed.  If you don't have a recent enough version, you can go to crucia (dot) com and download their scanner utility right from the first page and it will tell you what you currently have, and what sizes & speed you can upgrade to.

I purchased this memory set for a Dell Inspiron 15 (3521) and it worked with no issues. Unknown to me if it would work for any Sony systems. But I installed this type of memory on Sony systems before and none reported any issues.

Hi , I have a MacBook , it has 4 GB of ddr3 1600 MHZ and Also works with 4GB 1333 MHZ , my question is will this work with my mac in matters of CAS Latency (C.L. ) , is this product compatible with apple ??

I would always check with the manufacture, they post that info on their site most of the time, not sure about apple though (motherboard specs should say).  I've been lazy and purchased dims for 3 separate PCs though all DDR3 without checking and have had no issues (this is not apple though but I'd think you would be ok).  I would recommend 1600 MHz or higher though if you have the $ for it.  Memory has doubled in cost over the past 2 years so it is pricy.

This product did not work on my Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2009 model. Any reason why? Specs seem to match up with that of the macbook...

This package did not work on my HP laptop as well. Despite the matching up of the specs. Not sure why. Buy a set from Crucial.

According to macs special sheets the slots should support  this ram. I just can't figure out if it supports 8bs per 2 slots or 8 gb per slot

Anyone know if this will work on a Dell Studio XPS 1640--Core2 Duo proc?  I've already tried another product that is a faster speed memory, but had 512Mb density mem chips.  Would like to know if this works on my system before I buy it.
