Question 1

I currently have Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM (4X4) DDR3 SDRAM 1600 config on ASUS Sabertooth 1155 Z77 mobo. Wanted to upgrade to 24GB total. Would two of the Vengeance 8GB RAM be compatible if I replaced two of the 4GB RAMs in my current config? The timing on this set of 8GB RAM is different from my 4X4 config of 16GB RAM, does it matter?

That is precisely what I just did and it works perfectly. Two 8GB sticks, two 4GB sticks, of different speeds.

Is this compatible with MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard?

I am running on a Asus Z87-ws.  Not overclocking (those days are gone for me) stable - no problems.  Not the fastest memory - but stable.

I currently have desktop PC3 - 10700 2 dimm slots at 4gb each will this work if I were to replace it?  Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Yes but you may not get full benefit but will still be better than what you have. These are high make sure you have enough clearance above the memory.

Will this kit also work with AMD motherboards/CPUs?

The general answer is "yes".  What you need to do is make sure you buy the compatible memory stick.  AMD will have a list of supported memory for each motherboard and CPU.

Will this have any compatibility issues with my motherboard? are any possible? can i use these with my existing dual 4gb sticks?

As long as your mb supports 240-pin DDR3 1600 Ram you will be fine. And you should have no problem using this together with existing Ram as long as your mb can support that much mem. Rambus mem was the only that i can recall which had the compatibility issues many years ago. This is good solid mem. I'm still using it after two years no problems.
