Will this memory card work with 3rd generation i7 chips?

It sure will, that's what I bought mine for. Remember that this is laptop RAM (obviously). I swapped the generic RAM that came in my laptop (also DDR3 1600, no brand to be found on it) and noticed a performance increase... which was very surprising. I've been running it for almost 2 years now without a problem.

Will it be compatible with my lenovo thinkpad E431?

Based on their website info, and on the Crucial Memory Finder (always a GREAT tool to use), yes, you should be fine. Fair warning, Lenovo's started down the Apple road of making things mechanically incompatible. But based on my own experience so far, you should be fine with memory.

Question 3

I installed this in my Toshiba C55D B5214 (Satellite Series) that runs Windows 8.1 64 bit. Now I can't get it to start up, why not? This is the correct specs I believe; DDR3 1600.

You do have the right memory spec, however.... reading about your laptop I found the following:

Toshiba website:

"4GB DDR3L 1600MHz (Memory is not user upgradeable, factory installed only) "

And

Notebook Ocean:

"Toshiba includes 4 GB of DDR3L SDRAM and doesn’t allow users to upgrade the memory. "

Your laptop does not appear to support user memory upgrades.

does it work with a celeron processor?

This is laptop memory. It works in most laptops requiring DDR3 SODIMM memory. Check the spec sheet for your laptop and see if it will work. This is not desktop memory. I'm sure it will work with a celeron processor. Motherboard compatability is what the concern should be.

Yes, memory isn't processor specific. It is motherboard specific. If the laptops motherboard is spec'd to match the memory module, then it will run...

Is this compatable with a BA59-03551A motherboard? The motherboard is in my Samsung NP350E7C. The max ram is 16GB on the motherboard I have 8GB installed. With an integrated video card sharing my RAM, it kills the graphics and performance in games.

To determine what ram your computer is compatible with google Crucial memory scan and run their software.  It will tell you exactly what is the max ram you computer can handle and the specs you should filter for.

Will this work in a Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series laptop?  I believe this Dell only has one Ram slot.

If its a 204 pin and your computer ram requirement is for DDR3 than yes.
