Creative Outlier Free Pro are open-ear bone-conduction headphones with IPX8 waterproofing and built-in 8GB music storage, making them suitable for swimmers and active listeners who want to hear their surroundings or listen without carrying a phone.
Recommended For
- Pool lap swimmers who want to listen without carrying a phone: the onboard music storage supports playback in the pool, and the included earplugs can help make audio easier to hear underwater. The microphone plug must be fitted before swimming.
- Runners and fitness users who want an open-ear fit for workouts while still hearing some surrounding sound; the wraparound style is intended to stay in place during movement.
- People who want one headset for workouts and everyday listening, with Bluetooth playback, onboard music storage, and multipoint to connect two devices.
- Swimmers and other active users who prefer not to put earbuds in their ear canals and are comfortable with the different sound character of bone conduction.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- During pool laps, listen to audio files loaded onto the headphones before swimming; onboard playback works without a phone nearby, and the included earplugs can help make audio easier to hear underwater.
- On an outdoor run or ride, listen while keeping your ear canals uncovered, so you can still hear nearby sounds; the open-ear design does not block traffic or other environmental noise.
- For a gym or HIIT workout, wear the wraparound headphones without inserting earbuds; the secure-fit design is intended to stay in place during movement while leaving your ears open.
- While walking or commuting on dry land, stream audio from a paired phone and remain able to hear surrounding sounds; expect less isolation than with sealed earbuds, and some audio may be audible to people nearby.
- For a workout where you want to leave your phone behind, use the built-in player with audio files transferred to the headphones beforehand; this is also the practical listening mode for swimming.
