Overall Review: Works great so far. Yosemite itself uses around 4GB at idle with 4GB virtual memory. Having this quadruples the memory which allows for more programs to be used concurrently without slowdowns. Adding an SSD and you have a pretty fast and responsive computer. With the lower price of the Mac Mini 2012 (~$400) upgrading ram and the HD to a SSD makes the Mac Mini affordable. Usually mac specific ram is priced a bit higher but with the discount these were actually cheaper than the non-mac ram.
Pros: I installed these two RAM sticks into the two free slots on the bottom of my new Sager NP9380-S, maxing out the system memory at 32GB.
The Crucial sticks play very nicely with the 2 x 8GB RAM modules that shipped with the laptop from Sager.
I'm very happy with my purchase!
Cons: Have been trying to return item to Adorama for over a month. They say to include picture in email, which I have so many times i have lost count. They stall so you cannot return item or just get tired and give up. When I send picture they say its too big, or use jpeg or we just did not get the picture with the email..total joke..i have never had problems with sending pictures to anyone using my email, theyre scamming to avoid returns!!!!!
Pros: Arrived in two days and was a breeze to install. My iMac booted up and the memory was immediately recognized.
Pros: I bought this to upgrade my ram for my Mac Mini from 4 gigabytes that I just recently purchased. I can tell a huge performance upgrade already. I am using my Mac Mini for medical documentation right now. So I usually have 5 to 8 different programs open. It is defiantly worth the upgrade and a heck of a lot cheaper than ram through Apple! I know this will be able to run Adobe CS6 Suite easily and with enough room!
Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHZ DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
Software OS X 10.9.1
Overall Review: I would Highly recommenced this!
Pros: Plugged both chips into a brand-new 13" Mid-2012 MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro 9,2) with the 2.5GHz i5 and it worked flawlessly.
Overall Review: Maxed out the RAM this system can take for less than Apple wanted for upgrading from 4GB to 8GB. It's like getting a couple bucks in your pocket and 8GB for free if you know how to use a (tiny) screwdriver. Screwdriver you should be using to open the above system is a "000" or better yet "0000" Philips.
Pros: works great, no problems, easy 5 min installation, great price
Cons: absolutely none.
Overall Review: Max the ram on your MBP. It's so simple; 10 screws, open it, ground yourself to the chassis, unplug the battery, pop the clips and remove the sticks, plug in and push down the new sticks one at a time, connect the battery, use some canned air and blow out the board and fans, wipe any other dirt, replace the cover, replace the 10 screws and good to go. After 2.5 years, I found the inside of MBP was dusting and I thought it would have been cleaner than that. Also run memtest or rember to test the new RAM.
Pros: Received package within 3 days and installation in an iMac (Late 2012) was extremely easy. Ram has been working flawlessly for 3 days with heavy usage.
Cons: It wasn't free.
