Pros: The useful life of an old Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 / 2.2 GHz powered laptop limited to only 4GB of DR2 800 MHz SDRAM was extended with the Crucial SSD upgrade and the storage capacity almost doubled relative to the original 500GB HD. Now the eight plus year old laptop PC feels fast enough for routine usage such as browsing and e-mail. I imagine that the PC feels faster because the virtual memory is much faster now.
For the record: The PC was upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 some time ago when the MS OS update was free.
The SSD seems to perfectly emulate a HD (Hard Disk). => It was very easy to install and the HD light on the case blinks just like it use to with the original HD. MS Windows 10 did NOT complain about activation thinking that the OS was on a different PC. BTW: I used TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore for Windows to move the OS from a backup file to the new SSD. (Highly recommended backup software IMO.)
Cons: I have nothing negative to report.
Overall Review: Newegg was great as usual.
Pros: Runs good super fast.
Overall Review: No cons yet. been about maybe 6+ months running fallout, fps, and other big 100gb games on this and it runs like a champ.
Overall Review: Good price and good product
Just as advertised!
Overall Review: Installed just fine in my PS4.
Pros: * All the goodness that goes with using an SSD over a spinning drive
Cons: * Surprised the external shell is just plastic
Overall Review: Added this drive externally to my Xbox One; increased the available space and definitely notice shorter game load times (versus the internal drive). Recommended.
Pros: Cost effective.
Overall Review: About a year ago, I replaced the two 1TB 7200-rpm 2.5" hard drives I originally installed in my 2012 quad-core i7 Mac mini running macOS Catalina with two of these Crucial SSD drives.
The drives have performed flawlessly. Program loading and writing data is significantly faster. Parallels 14 now runs Windows 10 Home at 'normal' PC speed.
Pros: Holds a lot of ones and zeroes, and is an SSD
Cons: No cons.
Overall Review: It's an SSD, it's about a terabyte, and (although I have not needed to talk to them), it's from Crucial, a friendly bunch of folks in Idaho. It's been going strong for five months so far. Good stuff.
Overall Review: 10/10
