Excellent for MSI 7950
Pros: * Excellent cooling * Dropped my load temps by 40 degrees celsius
Cons: Only bad thing was one of my memory chips fell directly under the metal shroud on heatsink. I just put a few thermal pads on it and hoped it would wick some of the heat under load.
Overall Review: Excellent cooler, and I am beyond happy with the results.
Depends on heatsink...
Pros: * Nicely priced card * Performs flawlessly at high resolutions ( Far Cry 3 )
Cons: Stock Heatsink Temperatures were exceeding 90 degrees celsius, and I consider that to be much too high for longevity. The heatsink is very small in size, and the fan sounds like a jet engine when it nears 100%.
Overall Review: If you plan on replacing the heatsink then this might be the card for you, but if you plan on staying stock then I would most definitely look elsewhere.
Disappointed
Pros: * Specs are nice for a sub $500 machine
Cons: I used it for one day, and then left it to charge overnight. The next morning I woke up and it would not power on. I checked the wall socket with a meter to make sure I had 120v which I did. The machine bricked after one day of use, and I am very displeased.
Coolermaster Delivers
Pros: * Keeps chip at or below 40c while running Prime95 * Easy to Install * Thermal Grease provided actually outperformed the Artic Silver that I had, but in AS defense it was quite old. * Extra screws so you can use an old 120mm for a push/pull configuration ( which works great! ).
Cons: * Fan can be quite loud. Personally I manually set the speed in my bios to 60% and use it in tandem with another 120mm that is whisper quiet.
Overall Review: * Had some clearance issues on my motherboard. Not Coolermasters fault, but just be aware. This brought my temp from 33c at idle to 25c. Also brought my load temps ( prime95 ) down from 65c to 40c. I am very, very pleased with this product.
