Overall Review: Using this drive in my Synology NAS with attached 2TB usb drive (in a fire box) Going on 6 months and this combination has been flawless so far.

Pros: 1 of the 2GB Sticks was OK, checked out perfect.

Cons: The other 2GB stick was DOA, full of errors, had to return the set via RMA and had no ram for 1 week.

Pros: It came on when I powered it up, that's about it. One thing to note: My beef is not with the actual Hard Drive that is inside but rather the hardware/firmware of the enclosure.

Cons: The enclosure will disconnect itself when under load, copying files. Needed to cycle the power to bring it back online after which it would do the same thing over. I bought this drive for a main backup to my Synology NAS.. I made sure all hibernation options were off in the NAS. I tested the same procedure with another 2TB drive that I have and no problems at all. I returned this drive after 12 hours of testing and repeated failures.

Overall Review: I am a biomedical technologist specializing in medical imaging equipment and I deal with computers and digital hardware everyday, stay away from this drive. And to top off my frustration, I realized afterwards that I would have to pay shipping from my own pocket to return the enclosure back to newegg for a refund.. I will not be buying anything else from newegg.

Pros: Quiet, good fan cooling options, spin-down of all HDs even the external USB ones. Many many cool options (addon packs)

Cons: Very slow to create thumbnail pics of your photo library unless you use the uploader on a connected PC (no biggy) second camera licence is way overpriced if using the camera security option.

Overall Review: As a local NAS data storage and auto backup system, this thing shines, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Pros: I had planned to use this case with 3 full size PCI cards so had planned to modify the case an little, only 3 HD bays left after mod but the PCI cards fit perfectly. Great case, power supp is good and quiet, 3 speed case fan is great as well. Highly recommend.

Cons: Case black finish is prone to finger prints.

Pros: So far, this mobo has been great, definitly need some low profile SATA cables if you plan to use full size PCI cards with this mobo.

Cons: None so far.
