worth every penny
Pros: Handles battlefield 3 and skyrim on ultra settings at 1080p. Overclocks well, runs cool and quite. It idles at 28c and doesn't break 59 under load. should be getting my second one in the mail from newegg tomorrow.
Cons: None!

Amazing cpu
Pros: Quite fast and runs cool with my 280mm radiator. Amazing chip for gaming.
Cons: Very hard to get. I had to wake up early launch day and refresh the heck out of my browser but finally got one.
Overall Review: Worth every penny. Beats the snot out of my 2600.
After a little more time with it...an update
Pros: I've put this thing through its paces. Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Diablo 3, NFS The Run are all very playable at meduim setting. And for a $600 machine thats impressive. Great look and feel to the chassis. The speakers are the best of the many notebooks I have owned. On key muting is a great feature.
Cons: HDD is still slow. Plenty of bloatware.
Overall Review: For best picture setting and sound I've found it best just too leave one key theathre in movie mode. The contrast is much nicer, and the sound becomes much richer and volume increases as well. I highly recommend the y480. I like it soo much I think Im going to buy the Y580 as well
Beast in sli!!!
Pros: Two of these just plain rocks. These laugh at Skyrim and Battlefield 3, Saints row the third as well. Even sandwiched together on the evga z68 sli motherboard they run cool and quite.
Cons: 700 dollar price tag for two is steep, but worth every penny.
Overall Review: Just buy one, or two and you'll never regret it. corsair 600t evga z68 sli i5 2500k 8gb gskill @1600 2x gtx 570 evga 64gb crucial ssd 1tb caviar black corsair h60 thermaltake black widow 850
