Pros: cheap, small, works well

Cons: didn't find this sooner, doesn't do laundry

Overall Review: I got this for $8 with a promo code and free shipping for the money I feel I got the better end of the stick. This beats some of the more expensive adapters I bought. I use it to connect to the Internet and with my provider only giving me 20mbs download and .75mbs upload there's no reason to get a 300mbs for home. This works great on an ancient 10+ year old Dell laptop Probably the best part of the box. Works nativley with Linux Mint 13.

CORSAIR CX Series CX430 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
CORSAIR CX Series CX430 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply

Pros: Cheap if Corsair will honor their rebate. Works

Cons: It puts out a high frequency squeal. It comes from the internal workings NOT the fan.

Overall Review: Do your research!!!!! Check out the complaints about Corsair's PSUs. Not just here try the forums. I got mine from another supplier and I failed to check. My 750 watt I got a couple of years ago is still running great and no problem ever. This one Drives me nuts. Tech will tell you to disable speed stepping or any of the other power saving options in bios to see if that helps or suggest it's your video card but I found so many people with different configurations having the same problem that it leads me to believe there is a design flaw. Shame really. Now be sure you give yourself a huge cushion on sending in your rebate. Print it out before you buy and READ IT. Even though they are runnning the same rebate here as I had they still refuse to honor it because of a postmark date. Also it is supposed to be for $20 but they said it was only for $10. If I knew then what I know now I would NEVER have purchased this PSU. Even if they honored the rebate.

ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Free ram. It is pretty.

Cons: Waste of time an money. As indicated audio header in bsd spot. Had to hook up alc97 instead of hd because my cable was too short. GPU almost crushes the wires. A double wide card covers 1 pci slot. Wouldn't be able to sli in my mini atx case.

Overall Review: All this is moot because 3 boards later, I still don't have a working computer. I have tried 3 different RAM pairs that are on the supported list and 2 different known good psu's in all 3 boards. All 3 boards have what appears to be a dead sys fan 2 header. When I contacted Asrock through email, they eesponded, "call NewEgg".

good value

PNY GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Graphics Card VCGGT4301XPB
PNY GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Graphics Card VCGGT4301XPB

Pros: I actually got the rebate. Thus the end cost was around 20 bucks at the time. Bought 3 total. 1 went in an upgraded Dell and is working beautifully. It's not for gaming but it has no probkem with 1080 video. The 2nd went in a HTPC with an i3 2100 and 8GB Gskill 1333 ram. It's running Linux Mint and XBMC like a champ. 1080p and 5.1 audio work perfect. I really like that it doesn't need extra power. Its quite, cool, and small.

Cons: No real cons as I knew this was a low end card. You won't be playing any modern games on it.

Overall Review: When I got these it was a good deal. Now however I would get the 640 or 650 just because they've come down in price. Still great for a low power rig or htpc. I checked and they rank just below a 8800 GT.

works

Rosewill RC-209-EX PCI 2.3, 32bit, 33/66Mhz SATA Controller Card
Rosewill RC-209-EX PCI 2.3, 32bit, 33/66Mhz SATA Controller Card

Pros: cheap. 4 sata OR 2 sata @ 2 esata Or 3&1 etc.

Cons: no freenas8 support

Overall Review: Bought for freenas8 rig. was unsupported. If i needed it for a regular build I'm sure it would have met my needs as I'm still working on SATA II speeds. It showed up in the boot sequence and saw all my disks. The card bios seemed intuative and ok for my needs. It's a shame It didn't work in freenas I really like Rosewill products. Their USB WIFI dongles are the best I've ever found and have native support in linux.

can't put it here

CORSAIR Voyager 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive CMFVY3S-16GB
CORSAIR Voyager 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive CMFVY3S-16GB

Pros: none

Cons: died in a week, runs hot, doesn't seem any faster than my 4 year old Coarsair 2.0 16GB (I had to resolder the connector) that still works fabously.

Overall Review: I purchased this from another provider to use up my use em or lose em Rewards. I wanted to have a portable Linux distro on it. Didn't like the unity desktop so was going for Mint 13 LTS. After wiping the drive it will no longer boot. I have tried different Distros and all fail. It was like it had a boot once ever feature. I have reformatted back to defaults and it still fails. The drive itself seems flimsy as it rattles around insid its plastic casing which is inside a large rubber shock absorber. Its pretty big. I wouldn't purchase this again.
