Pros: Great power to cost ratio. It is a beast of a card. Not top of the line, but well worth the cost if you are looking to upgrade without breaking the bank.
Cons: Size. I know they list the dimensions of this card on the specs page, but man, you don't really understand how big it actually is till you see it. I was surprised at the size difference when I upgraded my GTX260 to a GTX660Ti, but the 1060 makes the 660Ti (Also MSI brand) look like a shrimp.
This doesn't mean the card is bad, just something to keep in mind and double check it will fit your case.
Other Thoughts: If this card supported SLI, I would buy another for sure. It has been chewing through everything I have like nothing.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Black Box G1W-B "Black Bezel" Original Dashboard Dash Cam - Full HD 1080P H.264 2.7" LCD Car DVR Camera Video Recorder with G-Sensor Night Vision Motion Detection WDR 140° Wide Angle 4X Zoom - NT96650
Pros: Small size, has built in display, easy to use mount.
Comes with mini-HDMI cable for TV viewing.
Comes with car adapter with a nice long cable.
Cons: Difficult to figure out. I had to tinker with it for a while to learn its quarks.
The main thing to note is you NEED a CLASS 4 SD card. It will get memory errors if you try to use anything else. I struggled with this one for several days till I found someone else comment online.
I'm not sure if it is supposed to have a built in battery, but for whatever reason, mine required the power to be connected at all times. It will shut off (after a few seconds, odd enough) if you disconnect the power, and with the plug being on the top of the camera, it is a little awkward having the cord loop back down to the car adapter.
Also, make sure you go through all the settings. Mine had auto-shutoff enabled by default.
Other Thoughts: Despite all the issues I had, now that I got them worked out, it works basically as intended. In all honesty, I would get another brand, but I am already invested with this one, so I did my best to make it work.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: D-Link DCS-5029L HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera
Pros: - Full range of motion
- Wireless and Ethernet capable
- Night vision!
- Feels like sturdy construction
Cons: - You can see red coming from the infrared LEDs. It would have been nice if they were completely "invisible", otherwise making the camera truly hidden in the dark is a little more difficult.
- When viewing the camera live from a browser (On same network), maybe its just with the streaming, but the quality seems to suffer. I can't find any decent setting of resolution that is smooth. 1080 resolution, it looks like maybe 5 frames a second. 720 resolution about 10 FPS. Again, maybe its just because it is trying to stream the feed in real time, and maybe it would be smooth playback if I actually recorded instead, but at this point in time, I am generally disappointed in its quality.
Other Thoughts: Maybe I am just using it wrong, which is why I only deducted one egg, to give room for my ignorance. This is my first network camera I've played with, so I do hope it is just me being stupid.READ FULL REVIEW
