This cloud thing, does that mean an additional cost other than that of the product itself?

I just bought one. There is no additional monthly costs. I connected an external hard drive to my router and use that to record video when motion is detected. But you can also just have it email you photos when sound or motion is detected. Cloud just means you can log into it from any computer or mobile device for live view but that doesn't record video.

Question 2

Does this camera stream live audio? I need to be able to hear and see at the same time.

Yes, although the audio connection doesn't appear to be very robust.  It cuts out from time to time in my experience (even though I have 1-2 Mbps Uverse uplink at home where the camera is and T-Mobile LTE on my phone).

Question 3

Can you disable the audio sensing function and just have it sense motion?

Yes.  You can turn the mic off completely.   Audio sensing only works well in pin-drop-quiet locations.   When I had audio sensing running, it alerted me every time the ice maker in the frig added water or dropped ice.  ....from 30 feet away in another room!

Motion sensing works pretty well, but set up a zone for motion that can't be mistaken for something else.   Pets will set it off.  And, as I found out unexpectedly, a shadow of a bird through the window on the drapes will also set off an alert if the sun is in the right position.

Love this camera.  Not a fan of D-Link, but it takes only minutes to set up and the quality of the video is decent.

what is maximum memory card size for recording?

I am 99% sure it is 32GB.   That's what I have in mine and I would have bought bigger ones if they were supported.  I didn't, so at the time 2 years ago, it only supported 32GB.   There have been some firmware changes since, but I don't know if there were changes to the supported SD card capacity.

If you need more than 32GB of space, you probably ought to look at a system with a DVR.  I THOUGHT I needed a lot of space to store video, but I have never used more than 20GB and that was when I first got them.  Now its more like 4GB and I hardly ever look at what is on there....

Can this unit be used outside as a surveillance camera. I would like a unit that can keep track of people coming and going into my driveway?

Technically, the camera is not rated for outdoor use as it is not weatherproof. However, I have one installed under a covered porch and it seems to work okay. Night vision is not quite as clear when outsude but it is good enough.

Will the camera take a picture activated by motion detection?

Yes or video or both at any time or all the time. Read the manual , you can download it off my dlink. it looks complicated but with a little trial and error you'll love it.

This camera we can talk to the personne in front and they will reply because we ear it ?

Looks like all features of this camera are cool but I couldn't configure the this camera because of manufacture defect  (Always Red LED when connect)(should be in blue/green color when connect). I asked support team of D-Link but couldn't resolve the problem after trying more than 1 hour. Also, I tried to connect through wifi but it's not success.

Is your stock 4x zoom or 10x zoom ?

between dcs 5029l and dcs 5222l, which one is the latest model and which one got better functions?

The 5029l is the later model but the 5222l has a narrow lens but better night vision. I have both, and like them equal . Read the specs there both really nice for specific placing.
