Biostar TZ77B
Pros: I'll just say first that I love this motherboard. For the price and what you get--it's an amazing product. The driver CDs it comes with are super helpful and the BIOS is a little more than the average user needs but it's super useful. Anyway, this board has everything placed conveniently and has ports and headers for everything I need. In addition to having two USB 3.0 ports built in, it has an additional header for more ports which I'm not currently using but might in the future. It also has a SPDIF out header which finding a bracket for was nearly impossible to find but now I have an optical audio out which I love. The motherboard also stood up to a rail failure in my power supply. I was so scared it got fried but it and all my attached components were fine. Whether or not that was due to built-in fail safes in the PSU or not, this motherboard is a trooper. I don't think I'll ever need to upgrade it and I'm confident in its longevity.
Cons: Biostar's tech support is kind of awful. During my aforementioned power supply failure I sent a bunch of questions to their techies and the only response I got was a link to their RMA request page. Didn't inspire much confidence.
Rosewill Lightning 800
Pros: LED is cool, power supply supplies power, modular design, comes with case for extra cables.
Cons: Bought this PSU in June and it failed in early October. RMA process has taken about a week and a half but I'm getting a new one so let's see what happens. It's a solid PSU but I shouldn't have to take advantage of my 5-year warranty every 4 months. Let's hope this next one lasts longer.
Overall Review: I've heard Corsair PSUs are better but I bought this one for it's 80 Plus rating and the power it delivers. If the next unit lasts longer it'll get the 5 eggs I think it deserves.
Rosewill Dock
Pros: Works. Does what I expected.
Cons: The first unit I received was broken--I noticed there was some crucial components rattling around in the unit even before I opened the box. RMA'd it and got a new one which actually works. It was the second Rosewill product that had failed on me in a two-week period which I wasn't pleased about. The product gets 4 eggs for doing what I expected and Rosewill's tech support being quick on the draw for sending me a new one.
Rosewill Blue 120mm fans
Pros: Great fans. They move air. Good color. Solid purchase.
Cons: When I first got them they were quite quiet but I flipped one of them around and now they whine so it's probably how they're mounted in my case. Just thought I'd mention that.
WD refurb 40gb
Pros: Held information while it lasted.
Cons: This review probably doesn't mean anything but I bought this as my "operating system drive" so any stupid stuff that happened to my other drives would stay on my other drives. Well this one crashed after about 3 months and was unable to be fixed. So much for refurbished. It gets 2 eggs just because it held information for a little while and I didn't pay that much for it.
WD 1TB black
Pros: Works. Hasn't failed. Holds information.
Cons: I'm not 100% confident in WD drives anymore now that one of mine failed (the most important one of course) so I'm constantly backing this one up.
