Failed after 18 months.
Pros: Reasonably good price, nice indicator lights
Cons: Drive bays don't fit snugly, seem to wiggle. Turning knobs to lock the drive handles feel cheap. After about 18 months, I began to suddenly get errors across three different drives in the five drive cage. When I ran the drives outside of the cage, no errors
Overall Review: I have four of their red handled metal ones, and they work fine. I think this is just a bad design.
2/5 DOA - 40% failure rate
Pros: Cheapest price per TB
Cons: Out of the box, two out of the five drives were DOA. I tested them on multiple systems, they weren't recognized by BIOS or the Seatools software. It's like Seagate isn't even trying to make their drives be worth purchasing anymore.
Overall Review: Pay a little more for Hitachi drives, you'd end up saving in the long term with all the RMA fees, lost time, rebuilds, etc
Doesn't work, don't buy
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Doesn't work - waste of cash
Overall Review: I bought it to watch video on ipad. The lack of support for HD channels is just being lazy on the manufacture's side - that's well within the technical capability of the ipad. But it didn't detect the non-HD channels either - so no channels at all detected Tried on Mac, all I get is 'Warning cannot find the device!'. It also looks like they've basically created one mostly beta version of software and never updated it for anything. I'm able to view over a dozen channels of both HD and SD from an antenna on my TV. This device doesn't work.
Skip this!
Pros: Incorrectly listed
Cons: Newegg lists this as a memory option for the Supermicro X9SCM-F, but is not compatible. Save yourself their 15% restocking fee and skip it.
not a good product
Pros: Cheap, runs dd-wrt.
Cons: Falls offline for 30 seconds at a time under load.
Overall Review: This unit seems pretty sweet, but falls offline when you send a large amount of throughput through it (rsync, time machine . backup, scp, etc). After screwing with it for two weeks, I replaced it.
Limited white balance
Pros: Cheap, small, recognized by native drivers on windows
Cons: Autobalance can't handle daylight level brilliance. Does ok in medium/low level, but picture is totally blown out at high level illumination
