NO MORE Lock-up's!

Pros: Bought this to try to eliminate network lock-up's on nvidia 680i mobo... I worked. Not ONE lockup since I installed this board. Mobo used to drop my network connection on intensive (high traffic) loads. This card hasn't done it yet?
Cons: None.
Overall Review: In BIOS, disable the MAC (network) to free up resources. No sense running it if you don't use it? Intel=name brand, dependable quality. Performance is exceptional. Running this card now about a month, not one problem.
It works
Pros: I bought this from Newegg well over a year ago to connect to my apartment 'free' wi-fi, and it worked. I was getting a weak signal with the 'rubber ducky' antenna that came with my wi-fi card. This antenna gave me solid '5-bar' signals, line of sight of 100 feet.
Cons: Expensive, and is really nothing more than a 'rubber ducky' antenna with a piece of metal for a reflector?
Overall Review: IF you are already getting a signal, this might help. At 2.4ghz frequencies, you need to see the other antenna to get a good signal... Walls often block signals, especially if there is metal (like foil-backed insulation) in them? Glass will usually not block, unless low-E coated?
Drivers for Win7

Pros: Driver problems? Get the drivers from cmedia!!! There is nothing wrong with the card, but unless Diamond has recently updated drivers, cmedia has them! My card works great on Win7 64-bit? Yes, with 7.1 audio? You have to swap assignments on a couple inputs (side/rear).
Cons: none
Overall Review: READ the user reviews before b*tching? MOST of us have been there/done it? The reason we POST here is to HELP other people?
Nice UPS

Pros: Will handle any home/small office system. 6 backup outlets. Good price, good features.
Cons: Serial interface... Why not USB? Now, I have to dig thru my junk boxes to find a serial interface port? If it had a USB port, I'd have given it 5 eggs?
Overall Review: Comes with 2-12/volt sealed batteries, running in series (24-volts), for dependability and longer life? After charging it, I ran a test on a flourescent desk lamp for 48hours, and it was still bright? THIS is a good choice for emergency lighting in storm-prone areas for emergency lighting, in addition to computer backup? One UPS like this, and a few ccfl table lamps, extension cords, and a power outtage? Your house could have LIGHTS? And a radio, cell phone charger, small lcd TV set? A UPS isn't just for computers? Beats candles, flashlights or living in the dark? This unit was for my computer system, but I have two other smaller systems for emergency lighting? Think about it? It makes sense? During a power outtage, my house is the only one in the neigborhood with bright lights in the windows right after the power went out? Ice storms or severe tunderstorms? Doesn't matter? I have lights?
Good choice for 680i

Pros: Works good on 680i EVGA mobo. Mem is EPP/SLI-ready, and is recognized by the bios!!! Runs best at 2.1 volts. Really made Win7 64-bit boot faster, compared to 2x1gb sticks.
Cons: Needed 2.1 volts to gain stability? 2.05 recommended sometimes gave BSOD in games.
Overall Review: BSOD problems prompted me to try lower speed/faster timings: 800mhz, 4/4/4/12/2t 1.8v = GOOD. 533mhz, 3/4/3/12/1t 1.8v GREAT! I really hate running high voltages if I can avoid it, and lower timings/lower speeds actually equal bandwidth in some tests compared to 1066/5/5/5 ratings? Lower cas or 'T' timings can really improve mem speed/bandwidth? You old timers understand this, but for the new-b's, every clock tick is a delay? Lower cas ratings = faster. A 1T command rate is twice as fast as a 2T? The clock speed may be lower, but if the computer does the same job or more, with a lower delay, the bandwidth is higher? And it usually does it at a lower voltage, less heat? As always, you need to experiment? Your mileage may vary... This is a very OLD 'overclockers' trick? High-perf mem runs REALLY GOOD at lower clocks/aggressive timing?
Win 7

Pros: Good card, sounds great. Crisp treble, deep bass.
Cons: Diamond drivers for WIN7 virtually non-existant.
Overall Review: Get WIN 7 drivers at cmedia? They WORK. They also have drivers for Vista, although it appears to be the same file. Doesn't seem to matter if you download the WIN7 64-bit or Vista 32-bit: It's the same file name. Doesn't matter: They WORK!
