inexpensive and effective tablet
Pros: Low price, low amounts of lag, google play access, more RAM than I can use, good graphics and CPU, virtualy no bloat-ware, includes USB otg, runs Netflix, has a micro SD slot (micro tf)
Cons: Screen scratches easily, not the best viewing angle, weird partitioning scheme(see other thoughts), no OS updates, no Windows ADB drivers on hott's website. Cams are not usable unless in a well light or bright area. No HDMI out(I knew that part going into all of this), if your finger tips are to close together on screen it will not recognize all the touches.
Overall Review: The internal storage has a 1GiB partion for applications and a 5 GiB fat 32space for apps and files; The 5gig partition can be accessed from the tab or a PC. Scream brightness on minimum in air plain mode, I was able to get about 2.5 to 3.2 minutes per battery % while playing piano tiles , with some tweaking, I was able to root this tablet using kingo root and incorrect drivers. Over all, I am glad I bought this tablet. I would buy this again.
functional, but lacks led control
Pros: The mother board worked as expected once the latest bios was installed and a ryzen 7 1700 can overclock up to 3.8 GHz on the stock cooler when I tested it, but it is too hot for my comfort. However,
Cons: "Mystic Light Sync: Synchronize other RGB solutions with your gaming rig and control 'all LEDs' in one click" The red LEDs on the board cannot be controlled in any way, contradicting MSI's claim. The RGB header can be set to a few patterns (on, off, breathing, flash, double flash, random, CPU temp, music.) and 7 colours. This is incredibly disappointing from an aesthetics perspective because the board can do 16 million colours and whatever pattern you want, but the proprietary software used to control the board limits you for no good reason.
Overall Review: I'll keep this board because it does work well enough, but I'll be looking for an LED/RGB controll app that works with this and is actually good.
Excellent black Friday deal
Pros: Low resource footprint, excellent at finding and removing malware, active protection (checks downloads for malware before execution, etc.), and It is better than MSE
Cons: It is cost a lot more Microsoft Security Essentials.
Overall Review: I got this on a black friday sale for less than 10 dollars, so the con is not a problem. Even without the sale, I would still buy this.
USB OS install drive
Pros: ~7.7 GB of space, not expensive, faster access time than a DVD, it is more durable than a DVD-RW, more has a space for a lanyard, It is re-writable/re-useable,
Cons: It is not USB 3.1 fast (you do not get what you do not pay for). It is expected, it is advertised as USB 2.0
Overall Review: I purchased this flash drive for Operating System installations because I was burning to many DVDs, It has saved me time because I do not have to reburn because of a scratch. overall, It is a excelent flash storage device if you do not need alot of speed.
data transfer speed
Pros: The device hold a generous 62 GB of raw capacity (57.6 usable) The price was less than 75 cents a gig and usb 3.0
Cons: The speed is notably different than advertised (see "other thoughts")
Overall Review: The advertised speed at the time of writing was 85MB/s read, 70MB/s write(avg. is 77.5); However, Crystal Disk Mark 3.0.2 64 bit says otherwise: (in mega-bytes per second MB/s) read write read write -Seq: 109.0 19.60 -4K 7.003 0.021 -512K: 104.8 0.625 -4KQD32 7.426 0.022 as you can see, the max speed for this drive (Seq) is not as advertised, However, The average of max read and write is 83% of the advertised average Therefor, I docked only one point for mildly misleading specifications. It is still beyond what i need in a flash-drive. I tested the slider using a 2nd gen, 8 thread i7, and the only usb 3.0 port on the machine.
Exelent For $15
Pros: Inexpensive Decent Quality Long Cable, relatively accurate sound reproduction. Perfect for casual stereo music listening.
Cons: the default frequency response was a bit loud on the bass, so I adjusted the equalizer on my computer and mp3 player, aside from that, no cons at all.
Overall Review: acceptable quality if you are on a budget I would not be able to get a better head set for $25 If you think the cable is to long, then just wind up the excess and wrap it with a rubber band or zip tie.
