Is this cartridge new or re-manufactured?

Supposedly these are new, but the Magenta cartridge I bought from Newegg at the same time leaked all over the inside and outside of my printer and streaks the pages red. I have done everything I can do to correct it, but nothing seems to work. The printer is fine, and the problem is with the cartridge. The problem is that it's outside of Newegg's 30-day warranty and they won't help me. So much for buying these in advance of needing them. I am trying to see if HP will help me out.
