Is it silent?

NO, it is NOT silent. Perhaps because mine is older and has been in service for some time, the fan makes a considerable racket. In fact I thought it was a server running at one point and it took a few minutes to realize the considerable din I was hearing was the D-Link's fan. It's a soft sound, but it is noticeable for sure.

Question 2

Does it come with the power cord? Is it 110V?

Yep, it comes with a power cord. And it's the normal American voltage (which I believe is 110v). It was just plug it in and go for me. There are lots of options for people with more complex needs, but I haven't even gotten into any of them, so I can't speak on those. But as far as being a switch that just works and has lots of ports and is fast, I'm completely satisfied. Hope I've helped.

Question 3

How are the switches holding up for people?  I have a line on a good deal for a used one and I wanted to make sure they are lasting.

Yes it is a good product spoke to my engineer and they hold up very well in the field.

Why choose this over a slightly higher-priced 16 port managed switch?

Accepted Answer

Because it has more ports and requires no administrator to login and manage it.  Just plug it in and go.  Get a managed switch only if you need one.

Is this unit wall mountable?

I cant remember specifically if this model has the slide holes on the bottom. I know we have wall mounted these just by rotating the rack mounts 90 degrees.

Hello I am trying to find out what hardware version you have on DGS1016-D Dlink  you have in stock, I need the F2 hardware?  it should be on the sticker on the outside of the box in the bottom left corner.  h/w (and what the version is)
