of course. I don't use wifi normally so I guess it would depend on the speed and size of the file on how smooth it is.

Newer boxie remotes have been updated, replacing the play/pause button with a netflix one; But the proeuct pictures here show the original remote.
Are these just outdated pictures, or does newegg really still have models with the original remote?

I bought my Boxee in June and it came with the new remote, so it seems Newegg's photos are outdated.

Yes it will. You have to subscribe to netflix and other such providers but there is  a lot of free content as well
