Product appears to work as advertised. I can read floppy disks from my old computer equipment. Windows 11 automatically recognized and installed drivers.

This drive does exactly what it's supposed to: it reads 3.5" floppy disks. I took a chance on it working under Linux and it does. I received it directly from China about a week and a half after ordering. It was well packed, and came with some extra dodads. One is a USB-driven flexible LED lamp. Should be useful to see the keyboard when the room light is low. At any rate, I plugged the drive in to my Lenovo laptop running Ubuntu 10.04. The drive was recognised immediately as a TEAC floppy. After plugging the drive in, inserting a disk did not result in its being mounted. I could see the activity light go on, but nothing happened. I tried disconnecting, putting in the disk, then connecting. Same result. Finally, I connected the drive, put in a disk, then ran Gparted to see if the system knows which drive it is. Turns out yes, it was seen as /dev/sdc, of 1.4Meg size. Once I knew that the system knows what kind of disk it is, I simply ran the "mount" command on /dev/sdc, using "msdos" as the filesystem type, since all my old disks are of that fs type, and voila', it mounted. I could see the files on the disk and see inside the zips that were there.

I plugged it into a usb 2.0 port and it worked immediately on my Windows 11 PC without having to look up any drivers or anything.
