- 16 cores/32 threads, what's not to like? - Heaps of cache - More efficient than 7950X in most workloads for similar performance
Less power draw, lower temps, better frame rates, then 7700x. Seems better than outgoing model my opinion.
Super fast, Zen 3 , everything you need best bang for the buck, Highly recommended
-Same install as a normal AM4 pocessor -No Weird OS CPU scheduler -Can use Windows High performance mode unlike 7950X3d (prevent it's cores from parking) -Better TimeSpy Scores out of my 4090 with this compared to my previous 7950x3d -Very low heat... I used a Noctua D15 and it never goes above 79-80C under extreme load, 65C while gaming AAA
Bought this CPU as part of a new PC build. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Installation was smooth, and after running Intel's diagnostic tool and using it for a few days, everything is running stable and as expected. Very happy with the product and would buy from this merchant again. This was the 3rd processor I purchased for this build, the first two being duds from rhymes with gleebay. I will never do that again. Zero hassles and it just worked.
Seems to handle anything I throw at it Great for content creation Great for gaming
There have already been several BIOS updates released to correct the performance issue and the processor runs super well.
-Fast performance and can handle the load from gaming. -Easy to install -Got it before the price jumped over $80 -A significant jump from my Ryzen 9 5800.
Everything
It's just so responsive & solid feeling.
Fit the GIGABYTE motherboard. Works great thanks to my aftercooler. Not overclocking, but really not needed. Has onboard graphics. Great for a solid workstation.
Bought this more for quicksync for transcoding in plex on my unraid server but handles all of my other dockers working at the same time without issues. At first I was getting upset with the temps constantly hitting 90+ but found it was the manufacturer starting with Asu forcing their "optimized" settings. Disabled their settings and now don't see temps over 80 on air.

- It's a new AMD cpu. With this being said, I do 100% agree that for similar price, you should go with 7800X3D if you're heavy into gaming. - Undervolted to -15mV, and currently running stable (bought it at release).
a bit snappier than the older ryzen 7 5700x i had.
Another quality product from Intel. I've seen several UTUB videos on speed comparisons, etc. Most reviewers use Gaming metrics and I'm not a gamer. With Win10 not being supported after Oct 14th and my current system at almost 10 years old, I just needed a refresh into Win11. It is fine for what I'm going to use it for and WAY faster than my previous build.
The 20 cores are truly amazing
This is the cream of the crop i9 from Intel's LGA 1700 socket. The last dance with the Intel Core i series CPUs as they're rebranding. I've used/tested all LGA 1700 i9 CPUs and this is the best hands down across the board. Do not listen to or watch the 'tech tuber' reviews that blast these things with 500w of power and then whine about temps or power. If you follow Intel's 253w advertised limits and voltage tune your particular chip, they run around mid 70s under heavy AVX load, lower if you have a good cooler/paste. For gaming, you will have even lower temps since you won't get remotely close to the power limits. Easy drop in upgrade if already on an existing LGA 1700 motherboard. I am able to run high memory overclocks with this chip. Not limited to around 6000MTs like some brands. High memory OC are no problemo, and this leads to excellent gaming and application performance. Top tier gaming performance, while having the ability to run many apps and heavy application performance. This isn't a one trick pony with a lowly 8 core design being sold at a premium. All games and apps run fluid and fast, not just ones that fit within the cache. Future proofed with excellent multicore performance and headroom. At it's launch price, this chip is a no brainer if you want the best all around chip.
Had to return, waiting on new cpu. Return process was easy. Update! Received a new CPU and it worked great! So far so good. The 9700x runs VERY cool and boosts up to 5.5 ghz. I'm using an ARCTIC COOLING Liquid Freezer III - 240 and even during stress tests it only gets to 55c.
Great performance, decent thermals I haven't had it configured long but in geek bench (not perfect I know) I got 1915 ST/14043 MT with stock settings and air cooling (Noctua NH-D15). I got these scores with DDR4, so the speed is great even without DDR5 which was a lot cheaper since I could use my existing RAM. I ran a CPU stress test for a while and it maxed out at around 67-68 degrees Celsius.
Very cool temps Low power consumption Works in MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX
