ASUS IS SCORING WITH ME ON ALL CYLINDERS! GREAT LAPTOP! GREAT OLED SCREEN! VIBRANT COLORS, ESPECIALLY ON VIDEOS/STREAMING, ETC. I LOVE THE RAINBOW SETTING ON THE BACKLIT KEYBOARD! I ONLY WISH THAT THE KEYS THEMSELVES WERE MORE TRANSPARENT. NOT ONLY THIS: ASUS TECH SUPPORT ACTUALLY PICKS UP THE PHONE ON THE FIRST TRY!!! FOR SOME REASON, THE BACKLIT KEYBOARD STOPPED. AFTER MANY DIFFERENT TRIES, I WAS INSTRUCTED TO DO A FACTORY RESET WHICH BROUGHT IT BACK, WITH EASY ACCESS TO MY PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED APPS. DIDN'T TAKE ME LONG TO GET BACK TO MY ORIGINAL SETUP. I'M TOTALLY SOLD ON THIS LAPTOP AND ASUS. ASUS IS QUITE INVOLVED WITH THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, IT SEEMS...

I've never bought a refurbished computer before but was looking for a cheaper laptop that I could play the online game, Lord of the Rings, on. This laptop looked like it would fit the bill for $229, and it didn't disappoint. I've been using the laptop for two months now. I have had no lag, performance is consistently excellent, and the keyboard has a nice, crisp click to it (which is important to me). While I don't use this laptop for anything other than playing LOTRO or doing an occasional internet search, it would be amazing for everyday use...great processer, powerful with 16GB RAM, good keyboard, and the great thing is that it has a solid state drive. Thanks Newegg....great deal on a great computer!

Good value

Relatively easy to set up. Nice screen, keypad is very nice, good tactile feel, illuminated. Took about an hour to set it up, lots a gibberish to go through for Microsoft, nothing the fault of Asus. Had McAfee installed, I removed it. Windows Defender will suffice. Had trial period for MS Office installed, did not accept it, OpenOffice will suffice. Loaded Chrome and set up the Google Account. Touch pad was set to medium sensitivity, too sensitive, so set it to low and that worked better.

Does everything I want it to and so much quicker than what I had.
