Purchased this Acer Aspire 5 to replace my failed Zen Laptop. It is not thin and sleek, but it is faster and has a better display. The AMD Vega graphics meet my needs, and are compatible with Linux and autocad. Though its cheaper and lower caste than a posh ultrabook, I consider it an upgrade. The additional weight is a non issue, and the thicker frames rigidity may enhance its life. I havent opened the case yet, but the ten PH0 Phillips screws look more robust and easier to replace than the microscopic torx on aluminum ultrabooks. Battery life is impressive. I like the design of the many ports. The additional thickness and heft has its benefits. The tilted keyboard is nice too.

My daughter likes her new laptop, she likes the touchscreen and fingerprint passcode and big screen and light.

Received unit was in outstanding condition, had very few hours of usage per S.M.A.R.T. reports, the processor was a significant step up from what was advertised, and included touchscreen function which wasn't advertised at all - fantastic deal overall on a solid, clean, very-gently-used 7400. Also shipped in record time!

Does everything I want it to and so much quicker than what I had.
