In Network Attached Storage (NAS)

Previously have used QNAPs for the hardware/$ advantage. Synology's software, from initial setup to daily tasks is just superior. Using Business backup and the management/deployment is just dead simple. Intuitive and smooth.

Synology NAS arrived early and was easy to set up. Operating without faults!!

So easy to setup physically and soft. Enought apps for my needs (Streaming movies) With a WD red in it, was able to stream over Wi-Fi and copyng large files at the same time on it. Silent Robust construction No compatibility limitations compare to... tried to give Ugreen a try and I was really impressed.

Good Interface, stable product, great price, good online Video training, easy to setup for basic functions, easy to link to vie home network, TV connections. Quite and good power management.

Decent price for the hardware, sleek design, upgradable RAM, software updates are frequent, drive bays are solid, can control fan speed for the CPU

You're good! With some Exos drives, that can handle 240+MB/s each, fill it up, and you'll see some pretty great speeds from this NAS. (If you buy the 10g NIC.) Granted, I bought the 10g NIC for it. But, it only comes with 4GB RAM... I've got another 16g on the way. I've P2V'd both of my computers onto the NAS before wiping them clean, and starting fresh. (Physical to virtual.) The NAS is very slow to run a single VM on 4GB of RAM. But, it works! Didn't get the VM network set up yet, so I just plugged in a USB drive into my NAS, and connected it to the VM. Copy the data, and use the USB drive to copy back and forth.

I previously ordered this unit from a competitor of Newegg. UPS lost my package. After several days and UPS not finding my package I ordered a unit from Newegg. Before the new shipment arrived a neighbor knocked on the door and gave me my original package that UPS had left on their door step while they were out of town. I dont need two units so I used this original unit. 2 days later the Newegg package arrived. I explained the situation to them in an email and they graciously agreed to my return. And they paid return shipping! Im buying all my electronics from Newegg from now on!

Easy to setup and configure

Excellent solid hardware (2.5GB LAN, M.2 Storage for cashing, I/O Ports) at a great price. Installation of hardware (drives, etc.) done well. UGREEN NAS app make it simple and quick to get the unit up and running.

Equivielent units from other manufacturers were back ordered forever. This was in stock. Purchased diskless. Loaded with eight Ironhorse 12 TB HDDs. Setup worked first time as expected. Now on-line, in use as backup NAS. I keep it in another room, so I configured for MAX fan speed. Drives stay nice and cool.
