I used the DROBO for 15 years. I liked them as well. However, the company went out of business. I didn't know it until my DROBO stopped working. I bought this the beginning of 2024. it was so easy to configure, I have a desktop interface, I use file explorer, and the web interace is very useful too. I wish I knew about Synology before I bought the DROBO years ago. I would still have all the pictures and videos I lost because of DROBO. I give this 5 stars because I have never used Synology support for any reason. Now my friend bought one and is arriving today.

I use it as a server between 7 computers, it works very fast, I store all my data and image backups on it. Of course, I keep it backed up to another drive just in case this Link Station were to fail. Also the Link Station doesn't take up much space on the desk either. Looks good too and silent. Has a light on it to let you know if it's on or off, which doesn't blind you like some products. You can schedule it to run or turn off whenever you would like. Comes with a 2TB hard drive too. For some more storage you can plug a usb drive into it. I don't know how I got through all these years with out one! I can't say anything about the support, because I haven't had to use it.
