+ Sounds fantastic

Build quality looks excellent. Normal Yamaha. My 2.1 system sounds like much more.

Easy to hook up all the wires and connectors. Really minimal documentation....quick set up guide, Kinda works. User guide only available on line. Does not really explain how to use its features. No idea how eArc works but my TV has it and the receiver has it. How to turn it on the receiver to match the tv...no explanation? How to use the other hdmi connections on the receiver to use on the tv again no explanation in the user drive...Almost returned the unit out of pure frustration with the lack of how to do things and getting sound to come out of the speakers

- Works as described, completed connection from SpaceMouse to PC

I've only had it for a few weeks but i like it so far. Great sound. I like the clean front panel with 2 knob and 1 push button. The rest are touch panel style interface. I have to get use to the remote buttons feel. They are flush and sealed so you don't have to worry too much about spills getting inside. The only opening is the select switch at the top for zone 2. The remote is also big and thin with some weight to it. I only have a pair of MartinLogan Motion 10 tower speaker connected right now and they sound really good. I'm thinking about getting the Klipsch Reference Cinema Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 System so I can check out the Dolby Atmos feature. For those wondering if this receiver has the HDMI 2.1 circuit board for 4K/120Hz, it does. I confirmed it today. I signed up on Yamaha's site with my serial# to get updated HDMI 2.1 news and they sent me an email stating that my receiver already had the new HDMI 2.1 circuit board already installed. At least now I don't have to worry about upgrading my receiver for the next 5 years. I still have a lot of features to check out so I will do another update review later.
