It works. I am using it for a FreeNAS install, so my performance requirements are low. I never bothered to verify if DMA was working - that has been a concern with similar products from another manufacturer. The box contained a PCI slot bracket!!! - so I can mount it in a PCI (rear panel) slot if I so desire. The front mount metal bracket is powder coated metal, and looks rather presentable.
