There are so many options for a good CPU now but I had to make a budget buy so I could afford a new motherboard and DDR5 memory and what a great choice this has been! It is just a beast it runs anything I have thrown at it with ease. I mostly use my pc for internet and gaming so for those purposes it is perfect.

The most bang for value you will get in a CPU, I waited a long time for this (coming from sandy bridge) and I could not be more happier. Awesome overclocking !

Ivy bridge is a beast, no doubts about it. About 9-10% faster than Sandy Bridge, also support for PCI 3.0, and the onboard graphics isn't bad. Haven't used it since I installed my NVIDIA 580s, but its not bad. I used it to get all the NVIDIA drivers in order (for ubuntu). Seriously, GREAT processor, but do yourselves a favor a get a aftermarket CPU cooler to protect your investment
