i bought 3 - 10 footers, but not for anything computer or printer related.....i bought them to go with 4 - 2 foot 2 way usb splitters...i live in a 55+ mobile home park, my back yard abuts a property where they store clean dumpsters...its pitch black out behind my house, my mobile home runs about 40 feet , width wise in the back, i used the 3-10 footers to run the length of my house with a 2 foot splitter every 10 feet(staple gun used to hold cable to house), and on those splitters i put 1 of those lighted LED lights that connect to a usb port on a laptop(for night viewing), its bendable and about 6 inches long(not waterproof,use sandwich bag and bread ties to keep it from getting wet)...and they each produce about ..80 candle power, which is about as bright as a $6 eveready flashlight beam handheld flashlight.i angled them so that they would point out from the house, and illuminate the first 4 feet out from the bottom of the house.and whats good about this is that (solar lights)only last up too 10 hours and they get dimmer as the night drags on, until their dead at sunrise.with these led lights(and 30 feet) of usb cable, and splittersthe power comes from a usb powered electrical outlet that plugs into my wall outlet right next to the double doors that lead to the back yard, so all I do is plug it in , and turn on the on/off switch on the wallso the LED lights stay on all nite until I shut the switch at sunrise(the 5 led lights use about 5 watts of power1 watt each)so instead of spending about $140 for solar lights that dim before sunrise.i have 5 80 candlepower lights that shine 4 feet out from my house(and are fully lit all night)the length of my house and it cost me about $60, and I bought everything from NEWEGG.with the exception of the LED lights.newegg sells the led lights, I just didnt buy them from newegg at the time.so I am 100% satisfied with my purchase
