Absurdly long run, works great
Pros: It works!
Cons: None
Overall Review: I'm using this on a ~80ft. usb run over Cat5 with a powered USB hub to control my htpc down in the basement. Works without a hitch.
Pros: It works.
Cons: It didn't not work.
Overall Review: I plugged it in and away I went. Not much else to say other than adding another 2 gigs of ram on top of the 1 gig I already had helped Vista run a lot smoother.
Works for me
Pros: For me, WHS provides a simple server and backup solution. I have 4 PCs that get backed up daily now where they were never backed up before. The ability to add any sized drive to the array is a huge improvement over my old RAID-5 setup that required every drive be sized the same.
Cons: I'm not sure how happy I am with the way WHS protects data written to the array. Creating bit for bit copies of a file means I can't backup the largest contributor to my files without adding a ridiculous amount of hard drive space.
Overall Review: I'm not sure how big a con my con is now. With 1TB hard drives dipping below the $150 mark, even making 1:1 copies of large files is not as much of an issue as just a few years ago.
Wonderful Low-end HTPC Solution
Pros: Installed this board into my low-end HTPC. While I'm not running HD material (TV doesn't support it), my regular DVDs run beautifully without any issues. Having everything integrated into the board means my mid-sized case will soon be replaced with a low-profile case more appropriate for the living room.
Cons: Attempted to boot off my friends iPod while it was plugged in to be recharged. Small potatoes to be sure but it's the only "bad" thing that's happened.
Awesome case
Pros: It's cheap, it's spacious, it's well made.
Cons: None that I can see
Overall Review: This is my first rack mount case and I am quite impressed. I'm going to be using 2 5x5.25 hard drive backplanes in this case for a WHS media server and don't see it as a problem at all. I'll probably be buying another one of these for my HTPC when the time comes to move it out of it's mid-tower case as well.
This thing is TINY!
Pros: This thing is small and I mean small. It's about the size of a mini SD card and it's almost all because of the USB connector. I synced it up with my Bluetooth headset, got it working with skype and it works beautifully.
Cons: My only complaint is that it didn't come with a driver CD and without the Cirago driver, I couldn't get my headset to work with Skype. I highly recommend you download the driver specifically for this dongle and not rely on Windows built-in driver.
Overall Review: It's small and works well (once you get the driver). Not sure what else there is to say.
