Pros: It is amazing. Brought an AMD FX-8320 down in temps with awesome results. After cleaning the stock sink and fan, re-applying thermal grease with artic 5, the results were nominal - 5 to 8 degrees C. After pulling the original and installing the Coolmaster 212 evo thought was given to opening the case and using it to chill my brew. Dropped from 50-70C to 20-40C while gaming with max settings. I surf and stream in the teens and twenties.
Cons: Okay, cannot deduct an egg since the results are so tremendous. But, it's hard to install. Nuts are used on the back of the mb and it is hard to get them started. Be sure and get the backplate installed with the protected side against the mb. The rest is easy if you watch YouTube and throw away the instructions. Here, CoolerMaster could improve a bit. But for the price the problem is not that great, especially if you have a "tech helper."
Overall Review: This is in a Coolmaster HAF 912 case and fits with a low profile side fan. Gigabyte mb and EVGA GTZ 760 256 4 gig gui. Hey, the side fan is not necessary anymore. Can you tell I love this product? Also, Newegg had it here in 24hrs with normal shipping prices. When you know...
Pros: Battery life
Audio, Sound for gamers
Ease of setup/install
did I mention battery life?
Cons: no cons here - they don't walk the dog or take out the garbage.
Overall Review: My second set of Afterglows. Have the prismatic universal, which still work. My fatbutt clumsily destroyed the USB transceiver. Don't even own a PlayStation - PC only, but get this set - the xBox equal will not smooch a PC or MacI Love this headset. Now the Kral model. Even better!!!!. If you have a fathead like me give them time to stretch, they will. After 2 Sony sets (good, but break easily) numerous Turtle Beach ( don't look too hard - they'll break) this set rocks! Man, these make SWTOR n GW2 a blast to play. Quit looking and order this wonderful product.
Pros: Solid product, very easy to install and use, matches my CM HAF 912 case, will use 3 or 4 pin connectors, long cables make installation super easy
Overall Review: The slide fader type controls are simplistic. This product is sturdy and has a quality feel. Hey guys, you don't even need instructions so don't listen to the naysayers. It's that easy to install and use. Another great purchase from Newegg.
Pros: It's EVGA. Did you read the specs? You will believe.
Cons: Again, did you read the specs? Really folks, cons? Waited several months to write this review and there is no whine factor here whatsoever!
Overall Review: This card is a lotta' bang for the buck. It idles in the low 20s and stays in the mid 40s to low 50s while gaming. That's out of the box, no software installed except the latest GeForce drivers. It fits a CM HAF 912 case with ease. Graphics are tremendous on a 32" monitor. I love it, the cat loves it, the neighbors lust over it, the cable tech is getting one, so on n so forth.
Quality material and build
Versatile component install
Room for cable storage out of site
Set up for SSDs
Tons of installation hardware
Cons: Please see other thoughts, it's hard for me to mention cons on this great product.
Overall Review: K, the bottom case legs should be longer for carpet use and it would be nice if they sold a model with all the fans installed (of course it would cost more money). But hey, fans are easily installed and inexpensive, This replaced an older Antec 900 and I am now a Coolermaster fan! 6 eggs I say!
Pros: Installed easily
Performs as expected
Cons: Clunky GUI can be frustrating
Overall Review: Install it, click on desktop, click on Internet Explorer, Google 'classic shell', download and install telling it to look and perform like Windows 7. Voila! Now you can learn the tiled interface at your own speed and enjoy immediate use of your new OS. Why Windows makes it so difficult to auto jump to a friendly interface is beyond me. Tiles, ugh!
Pros: Bought a 240 GB for my laptop to replace a failed Plextor, then returned after 2 months of use to purchase two more to RAID in a midgamer desktop build. Some may be faster and a lot are slower. Years of Crucial dependability pushed me towards 3 purchases of this drive. Wonderful product that is blazing fast. TY Crucial and especially Newegg for this great product at a decent price.
Cons: C'mon, cons? A joke right? NONE!
Overall Review: If using in a desktop be sure and pick up mounting brackets if your case doesn't provide them. The brackets are very inexpensive.
Pros: Sturdy, good layout, loving the UEFI, versatile setup
Overall Review: System:
of course, Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P AM3+
AMD Vishera 8320 8 core CPU
16 GB Crucial Sport XT 1600 RAM
EVGA GTX760 4GB w/ACX
2 X Crucial M500 240GB SSDs
2 Apevia 200mm Fans
2 CM 120mm Fans
NZXT Sentry 2 Fan Controller
CM HAF 912 Case
Corsair TX850 PSU
Tried an i5 4670/ASRock MB and became frustrated with the 'bending pins syndrome' (yes, it's my fault - clumsiness and rented fingers) Replaced with this MB, AMD 8 core, hooked everything up and it posted first power up. Few changes to the BIOS and Windows 8.1 installed in minutes.
This is a budget mid-gamer build and I am loving it. First build in years and it's nice to put together an awesome machine that should serve me well for years. Fast and runs very cool with stock AMD cooling unit. Have all fans max speed including CPU and it is very, very quiet. Thanks NEWEGG for prompt shipping andf years of great service.
Pros: No noise
easy to install
Overall Review: Very quiet and installing in a CM HAF 912 was a breeze. I am sitting 2 feet from the PC and cannot hear it. Bought 2 of these for the case and they look awesome
Runs Cool W/stock fan and heatsink
Lotta Bang for Buck
Cons: hmmmmm? how 'bout none
Overall Review: Matched with a CM HAF 912 case with all fans this processor idles in the teens and 20s C. It plays SWTOR and Guild Wars 2 with ease. Bought this after fighting the horrible Haskell i5/1150 'bending pins' CPU/motherboard interface. Hey, my clumsiness is at fault, just want ppl to know this a great alternative.
Pros: Easy to set up and use. Don't even own a Playstation and use this slick unit for SWTOR and Guild Wars with PC. Sound is amazing. Very good looking and I find them extremely comfortable - even with my bucket sized head. Clarity in game and on Teamspeak is thru the roof!
Cons: really? for real? Cons?
Overall Review: I found that using Windows to control audio works fine. Qosmio here and had trouble using the resident Conexant software for audio. Switched to Windows and everything cleared up. Just a heads up for those Toshiba users with Conexant audio. After 5 sets of Turtle Beach (great headsets nwhen they work) and the plastic breaking and connections going bad, this is by far the best headset for the money IMHO. One more thought, if you have an AC charger, you can charge and use while playing!!
Pros: Easy straightforward installation, fast, overall feel of quality - even the packaging. Cloned the old drive in 6 minutes! Did one firmware upgrade and then looked on in awe. Speed is mind boggling.
Cons: You gotta' be kidding me! This SSD rocks!
Overall Review: It amazes me that ppl complaining about the price still gave this drive 5 eggs and one person gave it 4 eggs with no complaints. Well, duh! Plextor has down through the years maintained a great product line. This is my second SSD. First was another good product, Intel 320 120g, received as a gift. I WILL buy Plextor in the future. NewEgg also gets a 5 egg rating for the great service.
Sound quality is clear, absolutely no static
Comfort is fantastic, like the fabric instead of fake leather
External connection for PC sound card utilization
Cons: Cons? Cons!?! There are no stinkin' Cons!
Overall Review: I don't own a PS3. Purchased this headset to use with gaming PC. Bought the P11 after 2.5 years great use of Turtle Beach Earforce Z1. The 50MM speakers are a vast improvement over the 40MM found in many more costly headsets. It's hard to believe anyone finds flaws! They are sturdy plastic construction, so really rough treatment can break them. BTW, if the world ran according to NewEgg there would be peace!
