Fantastic ram for the price

ADATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model AD2U800B2G5-DRH
ADATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model AD2U800B2G5-DRH

Pros: Speed - I have 8GB of this running at 1000MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings instead of 5-5-5-18 timings. And it only needs 1.95 volts to do that! The heat sinks are quality-made and securely fastened. They seem to have good heat dispersion. Ran memtest many many times for many many hours and it hasn't thrown ONE SINGLE ERROR at these current settings.

Cons: The heatsinks do kind of have a tad of a pink shade to them ... mostly red though. I've got it covered by my O C Z memory cooler anyways, so no biggie.

Overall Review: Abit IN9 32x-MAX 680i motherboard, 8GB total, running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Other specs: WD SATA 160GB & 250GB drives, EVGA 8800GTS overclocked, Intel Q6700 @ 3.33GHz. Everything's happy as a clam!

Was impressed until I discovered it is DOA

Diablotek DA Series PSDA500 500 W ATX Power Supply
Diablotek DA Series PSDA500 500 W ATX Power Supply

Pros: Picked it up for a fantastic sale price. Upon opening packaging was impressed to find a 3 year warranty at this sale price point. It also has an 8 pin power connector and four SATA power connectors, again, quite good at the price when it was on sale. 500w is also a good amount of power for what I paid, and this unit has good packaging and decent cable lengths. It even includes a vibration dampening rubber attachment. Overall, when I opened the package I was quite impressed considering what I paid. Installation also went smoothly.

Cons: Upon pushing the power button, nothing happened whatsoever. All the components were brand new, so it was indeed possible the motherboard was DOA, or something else was wrong. I switched to another power supply and everything fired right up. Unfortunately my PSDA500 is DOA. Will update after a replacement.

Exceptional value with one very horrible drawback - abysmal integrated MediaTek WiFi

ASRock A620I LIGHTNING WIFI AM5 Ryzen7000 AMD A620 SATA 6Gb/s Mini-ITX Dual Channel DDR5 - 2.5G LAN, 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E Module PCIe 4.0 x16 Slot Motherboards - AMD
ASRock A620I LIGHTNING WIFI AM5 Ryzen7000 AMD A620 SATA 6Gb/s Mini-ITX Dual Channel DDR5 - 2.5G LAN, 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E Module PCIe 4.0 x16 Slot Motherboards - AMD

Pros: More full-featured than similar priced options from competitors. Very well-built. Nice looking, despite its price point. No issues with DDR5, unlike competing 620 chipset motherboards I've used.

Cons: Horrible WiFi! Poor RGB software. No Windows RGB integration - Asus, Razer, Logitech and others are joining. PLEASE show ASRock cares for consumers by joining as well. It wouldn't be as big of a deal if ASRock's RGB software was good, but it's not.

Overall Review: Question: How difficult is it to replace the integrated WiFi with something better? It looks to be housed in a little custom box on the I/O plate, rather than a small micro wifi card slot somewhere on the motherboard. Why, you ask? The pings are terrible, averaging 20ms slower than other devices in the same location. Adding a better antenna didn't seem to help. I've gone through all the windows settings, tried different driver versions, and nothing seems to help. The WiFi is just horrible. Sometimes pings will spike to 200-300ms, and it's really frustrating for a gaming PC. Otherwise, this is a great little motherboard for the price. Just don't plan on using WiFi for gaming. The 2.5GbE is excellent. The motherboard is mostly excellent. If they can improve the WiFi and RGB experience on this board, it will easily be a 5-egg product!

Noisy as an airplane!!!!

ARCTIC COOLING ACF64LP 60mm CPU Cooler for low profile PC
ARCTIC COOLING ACF64LP 60mm CPU Cooler for low profile PC

Pros: Low profile. Average installation - not easy, but not difficult.

Cons: Only one orientation option is available, due to the nature of this heatsink. The fans are NOISY. This will not even suffice as an office computer, let alone a "quiet" HTPC. I am extremely disappointed in this cooler, and it's the first Arctic Cooling product I've ever owned that has disappointed me. It has a horrible whine, and temps are not even as good as the stock cooler. Stock cooling provided temperatures 3-4c lower than this cooler. It is installed correctly, and the thermal past has good, even contact. I've checked and double checked.

Overall Review: This has been sitting on my shelf for some time, unfortunately out of Newegg's return policy. I realize most have had a good experience with this product according to reviews, but my unit is absolutely worthless!

Um ... ok.

ECS Gift - FLYER INSERT
ECS Gift - FLYER INSERT

Pros: Free?

Cons: Worthless

Overall Review: You know, I thought it was going to be an ECS poster of a dragon or something, with a little ECS propaganda printed on it, kind of like what the picture indicates. It's smaller than a postcard! I LOL at ECS for this. I LOL even more at Newegg for actually advertising it as a perk for buying one of their motherboard. Oh, the silliness.

Great for the money!

Rosewill RKV-2UC 2-Port USB KVM Switch
Rosewill RKV-2UC 2-Port USB KVM Switch

Pros: It works! No automatic sensing garbage. It just works. Simple is good sometimes. It actually powers my mouse and keyboard where the KVM switch I had before would only power one or the other!

Cons: No audio, but this is no big deal.

Overall Review: I purchased a more expensive auto-sensing Iogear KVM switch because it was the only thing available in town and I needed one. It was such a piece of garbage that I returned it. Auto sensing didn't work. It could only power the keyboard OR the mouse, but not both. So I returned it. This was on a fantastic sale with free shipping, so I decided to give it a try. It has a real switch! Instead of hoping a sensor will somehow magically read your mind and switch to the computer you want to control, you just push a button. Imagine that. I always wondered what the value would be of an automatic sensor if both computers are already on and you need to switch to a project already running on the other machine. I figured that other brand i bought would at least have an override switch for these situations, especially since it costs more. I was wrong. Don't waste your money. Buy this one instead. Works flawlessly!!! Thanks, Rosewill!!!!

Terrible Seller

Item was late. Item is an HP branded USED optical drive pulled out of another computer. Has an indentation on the back, likely due to being squished, and is NOT the item pictured, or the brand listed. BUYER BEWARE. TERRIBLE, DECEITFUL SELLER.
