Awesome adapter

Syba SATA/IDE Adapter, Connect IDE Devices to SATA Port on Motherboard
Syba SATA/IDE Adapter, Connect IDE Devices to SATA Port on Motherboard

Pros: Works really great. Fast detection in BIOS and fast transfer.

Cons: The sockets location need to be redesign. You need to twist a little bit your SATA cable (L-shape female socket) so it doesn't tangle with the (floopy) power cable. It doesn't come with the cables so you might want to get the sata cable and 4-pin split power cable (1 CDROM size and 1 floppy size)

Overall Review: I was worried that this product won't work when i bought it. After couple experiments, it works really great for my 2 different brand HDDs. For the HDD that has "single" and "master" jumper, set the jumper to SINGLE instead of master. For the HDD which doesn't have single jumper, set the jumper to MASTER. Don't forget to turn on the SATA controller ON (the one that you use) in BIOS. The BIOS and windows system should detect it fast otherwise there is incorrect setting.

Great cable

ORION Pro Series 700-201-05 1.5 ft. 180 and 90-Degree-Angled, SATA (SERIAL ATA 150) Cable, 2-Head

Pros: No problem since the installation. I use it with SYBA SATA/IDE adapter.

Cons: So far none.
