Great PSU

OCZ GameXStream OCZ850GXSSLI ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 850Watts Power Supply 100 - 240 V CB, CE, CSA, UL
OCZ GameXStream OCZ850GXSSLI ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 850Watts Power Supply 100 - 240 V CB, CE, CSA, UL

Pros: Quad 12v rails, quiet, looks cool, connector runs plenty long enough, nice quality.

Cons: A bit pricey but its actually a bit cheaper than other PSU's in its same class. And you get what you pay for.

Overall Review: I originally ordered an OCZ 700w psu but it arrived DOA. When my RMA arrived an Newegg they were sold out of 700w's so I had to pick something else. I considered PCP&C but those were also out of stock. I wanted a 4 12v rail PSU so I decided to give this one a try. To my satisfaction this 850w PSU worked fine and was the same dimensions as the 700w psu which fit so well in my Thermaltake Armor case. Armor's are big and have lots of room but they don't have all that much room for a big psu. This one fit in perfectly. Its also nice and quiet. This psu has more power than I'll be needing anytime soon but I guess I'm all set for future things down the road.

Arrived DOA

ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: A great motherboard when they work.

Cons: Mine arrived DOA but thanks to Newegg's fast turn around service they are about to ship me a new one. This is the HUGE reason I stay with Newegg.

Overall Review: I hope my replacement board works.

Excellent cooling!

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151

Pros: Using this to cool an i5 2500k (haven't overclocked yet) in an Asrock motherboard. So far temps are 35c idle and 46 load. I used Artic Silver 5 rather than the TIM that came with the cooler. I have 8gb of Gskill Ripjaws and the cooler fit easily around it. I have a Thermaltake Armor with a side panel fan and the door doesn't really clear. I can close the door but there is some slight pressure as it makes contact with the top of the Evo. So right now I have no door on at all. The fan that comes with the cooler seems nice enough. It comes with hardware to mount an additional fan for a push-pull configuration.

Cons: None to speak of.

Overall Review: This unit is a bit smaller than the Tuniq Tower I had been using for years. The mounting system on the Evo is much better. The fan mounting system is clever and I really appreciate they give me the hardware to add another fan if I wanted to. The cooler doesnt quite fit inside my case but thats only because I have a large fan on my side panel. I noticed some machine grooves in the bottom surface that contacts the processor. Old school would have been to sand and polish those out. But I figured the tube walls of the heat pipes would be too thin to get away with that. So I put the cooler on and just ran it. Seems to be doing a good job. I've been monitoring temps under a lot of heavy loads and temps never got over 46c.

Terrific Monitor

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers
ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: Seems huge for a desktop monitor. Vibrant colors and good performance. More settings and connections than I need. But its nice to have the option to hookup an HDMI down the road if I want to. Monitor prices are very reasonable anymore.

Cons: Wish this monitor had adjustable height. And I'd rather not have the built-in speakers and make the monitor a few bucks cheaper.

Overall Review: Actually bought this monitor elsewhere. Always like to give Newegg my business but I got this monitor slightly cheaper and free shipping so couldn't pass it up. Been using mine for a week now and wouldn't mind having 2 of these. Its rather wide so I'd really be struggling to fit them both on my desk.

Wow they still makes these!

SteelSeries 51002SS 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Siberia Full-Size headset USB (white)
SteelSeries 51002SS 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Siberia Full-Size headset USB (white)

Pros: I have owned the original Icemat Siberian's for about 3 yrs now. We sad to see that they didn't make those anymore but it seems like Steelseries worked out a deal to make these. They've been great over the years. Most comfy headset I've ever worn and I have a big noggin.

Cons: 3yrs and still working. Can't find any con's other than it might be nice to have a boom mic attached vs. a clip on mic.

Overall Review: I've put this headset thru 3 long years of gaming/multimedia and they are holding up well. Don't let the reviews telling you these headphones are flimsy scare you off. I think I dropped my headphones onces but I'm always bumping them. They held up well. These have very long cords to them. They tend to wrap around things like an anaconda. Every once in awhile I need to straighten them out. Good base, ok mids, highs are ok. Sound quality is excellent. Nice design. Mine are gloss black. No head squashing or ear clamping. Didn't have to break these in. They have been comfy since the first day.

A terrific workhorse of a mouse

Logitech MX Revolution Black 7 Buttons 2 x Wheels RF Wireless Laser Mouse
Logitech MX Revolution Black 7 Buttons 2 x Wheels RF Wireless Laser Mouse

Pros: I can't say enough about how good this mouse has been for me. I tortured my original mx revolution and it lasted about 18 months. Finally the right click button is bugging out. I just ordered a new one to replace it. I use this mouse mainly for gaming, internet surfing, photo editing. Has excellent tracking and battery life. I had my old mouse use antenna plugged into my G15 so never an issue with the mouse reception. My G15 died as well so now I have the new mouse antenna plugged into a USB hub. Working great. Fits my had well and very ergonomic. Plenty of buttons. I like the mouse scrolling wheel design.

Cons: I can't fault this mouse in any way. Would recommend this to anybody.

Overall Review: I've read posts about poor battery life and bad reception. Not sure if those are isolated issues or user issues. You cant use a wireless mouse for a week straight and expect it to still be charged up. And if you plug the antenna into the back of your pc which is kind of fair from the mouse itself.... well guess what. It might now get good enough reception. Do a websearch for Uberoptions after you install the mouse software. It will make your mx revolution a lot happier.
