Most Favorable Review

Great RAM, but too great for my older hardware.

G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin RGB PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC
G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin RGB PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC

Pros: High quality Trusted brand

Cons: Doesn't achieve full 3600MHz speed on older motherboards. Check your QVL for similar speed and timings. My QVL showed speeds of up to 3200MHz so that should have been a clue.

Overall Review: I have an older Ryzen system (Strix X370-F GAMING mobo and 2700) and I've read that 3600MHz RAM is the sweet spot. After installing and setting the profile in the bios (very easy) the computer booted up. But I was getting multiple errors in prime95 at 800k within minutes so I don't consider that stable. Even each stick by itself gave the same issue so I believe this is a limit of my motherboard/cpu as this RAM is definitely not on the QVL. I manually tweaked the values using Ryzen calculator but was at best able to attain 3400MHz 16-18-18-18-39 to be stable with prime95 on my X370. My motherboard marketing material claims "lets you drive memory frequencies to 3200MHz and beyond when overclocked!" so I guess I'm lucky to get 3400MHz. My fault for missing that detail before ordering. I will be keeping this for future upgrades, because if it is faulty I have the lifetime warranty.

Still working great a year later

Silicon Power Ace A55 2.5" 256GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SU256GBSS3A55S25NB

Overall Review: I bought this to upgrade an older laptop. It's comparable to other brands in this price range. Works great. I find the length of warranty is a good judge of drive quality and this has a 3 year warranty which is competitive in this price range. Would buy again.

Plugged it in, works great

Coboc DP122VGA-6-BK 6" DisplayPort 1.2 to VGA 1080p 1920 x 1200 Active Converter Adapter, AMD ATI Eyefinity Compatible
Coboc DP122VGA-6-BK 6" DisplayPort 1.2 to VGA 1080p 1920 x 1200 Active Converter Adapter, AMD ATI Eyefinity Compatible

Pros: Inexpensive

Overall Review: I have a DP to DVI adapter from Coboc that I received as some Newegg gift. It works great in a pinch when I need it. Now I need VGA so I tried plugging a DVI to VGA adapter into it and while the computer recognized the monitor, it would not display the screen. So I bought this DP to VGA adapter and it works great.

Low priced case comes with some weak fans

Antec Gaming New Vision GX202 White Black SPCC & Plastic ATX Mid Tower Entry-Level Gaming Case
Antec Gaming New Vision GX202 White Black SPCC & Plastic ATX Mid Tower Entry-Level Gaming Case

Pros: I like the airflow. Huge opening in the front with two fans. Filter on the bottom for power supply. Room for a disc drive. Doesn't have a huge cover over the power supply. Doesn't have a huge vent on the top. Bulge on the side gives room for minimal wire management. Acrylic panel looks nice (it's dark tinted)

Cons: Three fans, but they barely move air. I would say it's the absolute minimum of airflow. The two front fans come with big 4 pin Molex plugs. No PWM or speed sense. Thin metal.

Overall Review: I spent my budget on all pc parts and at the last minute decided to get a new case. I wanted unrestricted airflow. I also want a bunch of fans, and I don't want to pay much. So this was a good deal. Wire management was kinda tough. I had to squeeze the 8 pin CPU power cable between the motherboard and a cutout behind the motherboard. I crimped on new pins and converted the two front fans into 3 pin plugs so they plug into the motherboard. It can adjust the speed with voltage I guess, since there's no PWM or speed sense, it's just two wires per fan. When I carry the pc I can feel the bottom bend in a tiny bit due to the thin metal. But for the price, I got a nice looking case, lots of functionality, and airflow. I can always upgrade the fans, but that will cost more than the whole case did so I'm happy with this cheap case.

Works great so far, supported my Ryzen 2000 series CPU no problem

ASUS ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING AM4 AMD X370 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING AM4 AMD X370 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Plugged everything together, booted up just fine. UEFI update was easy. Heavy

Cons: No dual-BIOS like my old Gigabyte motherboard. When my overclock settings were too wishful, I had to manually short two pins to reset the UEFI, then type all of my settings back in. Update: You can save the settings and reload them after restoring defaults.

Overall Review: I bought as a combo deal with Ryzen 7 2700 and installed G.SKILL Trident Z RGB (For AMD) 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200. Had to set D.O.C.P. Standard in the UEFI to get the RAM to 3200, and later overclocked the RAM using DRAM Calculator for Ryzen 1.4.1. The software has a lot of features, fan control is nice. The auto overclock option in the UEFI made it run slower which was dumb. So far running stock CPU speeds and overclocked RAM. The software does slow down the desktop for a minute while it fires up and sets the motherboard LEDs. All the LEDs boot up to the default cycle until this software is run from within Windows. I'm new to all of this but I'm very happy with my new power house. Update: Today, after exactly 10 weeks from "approved" status, I finally got the MIR from Asus. Longest rebate ever!

Amazing, still cranking in 2019!

CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply & New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply & New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very quiet, very high quality. All black, wires have thin see-through plastic mesh around them. Beautiful. You get what you pay for, you'll be amazed from the moment you open the box. 5 year warranty.

Cons: Impossible update: after 10 years the flexible plastic squeeze to release tabs on the 4 pin power plugs snap when you squeeze them. Haven't seen them on any other plugs before. Power supply functionality is still 100%. Hard to find such a low price on a power supply of this quality nowadays.

Overall Review: Best power supply I have ever owned. Update: July 8th 2019 It blows the fuse and is now finally dead. RIP my friend.
