Can i change thee color of the little blue thing in the picture?

oh yes. you can make it flash, fade, strobe, blink, blue or any other color. there is software that lets you customize it. you can also sync it with other STRIX devices so the lights will fade (or other effect) from one device to the next. It's beautiful really.

Will DDR3 ram work with this board? I want to wait for the prices to go down to a more reasonable range to get the DDR4 set that I want.

Google searched and got:
DDR4 RAM is not backwards compatible with DDR3 motherboards and vice versa. The notch has been moved to prevent accidental insertion of the wrong type of memory. Instead of 240 pins, each module features 288 pins.

Do the heatsinks or SATA ports provide any clearance issues for the ASUS STRIX GTX 1070 OC?

No. While I only have the shorter 1050 Ti Strix, it is still an Asus STRIX branded item. Asus were well aware of their GPU shroud and its compatibility with many of the top motherboards (can't find where this was mentioned before, but I can't see why they would ever create conflicting parts within the same product line, let alone same brand). My advise is that if you can't find more than one instance of someone complaining about parts from well known vendors, you're in the clear...or at least, should give it a try. But, just so my answer isn't complete speculation, I found a Youtube video of this Mobo with what appears to be a 1070/1080 variant of the Strix. Are you able to boot off of an m.2 SSD with this motherboard?

Yes this motherboard will support booting off an M.2 SSD. Both SATA and NVME SDD’s in the M.2 size format will work.

Does this already come with Windows 10? It says under Features: Windows 10 64-bit.

No. You have to buy the license separately. That just means it's compatible with windows 10.

Do the lights look really pink?

No, you can control what color they are with included software. They will, flash, blink, pulse, fade, static, etc. They can be any color you choose. Check out the aura software; that's what controls it. They can be pink or any other color in the spectrum :)

does this board support AM3 coolers? do I have to get an AM4 cooler, or can I buy one that will work with this board?

Yes It does support both.   Had to use an AM3 cooler in theform of a 120mm push/pull  AIO liquid cooler and then switched to a 280mm monster AIO liquid cooler which was an AM4. The MB board worked with both types but I did have to remove the back plate for the AM3 cooler and used the plate that came with the AM3 cooler.  For an AM 4 cooler, or at least for the AIO liquid cooler I have,I used the back plate that came with the motherboard

it will definitely work with a mid case, the board is the perfect size, full tower and mid cases fit the standard size ATX mobo. This is your standard size mobo.

what is the 3d printing thing with this?

The 3d printing option appears to allow a person with a 3d printer to print a M.2 fan holder which for some hot running M.2 NVME SSDs could be useful but I would certainly not base a purchase decision on it. They should have simply included it with the motherboard so you do not need to print it.

Question 10

I'm going for a black and white build, can I dial in a good white on the RGB LED's? I have an EVGA 1080 SC ACX 3.0 and 4x Corsair ML LED (white) fans - 2x 120 on my radiator and 2x 140 rear and top exhaust, all of which match very well. If not, is it possible to operate the board with the LED effects completely turned off?

Your definitely can set a pretty accurate color spectrum with the soft ware, the only thing is the software based on your specs you would probably set to white with no effect. As far as syncing an effect it would be a bit difficult tho no impossible. If not yes you can completely turn off the leds
