Good Transition MB

Pros: Easy to set-up, plenty of room on the board. Running a CeleronD 331 until the C2D prices drop a little more (September). The best part about this board is it's flexibility and the reasonble price you pay for it. As I stated, I am currently happily running a $36 processor and can upgrade to a 4-core processor as my budget allows. Accepts AGP or PCIe, so I am running an older AGP card w/o any problems until I find a deal on a PCIe, at which time it will support both cards in simultaneous operation. I've had no errors BSOD or any other issues installingany hardware OS (Win2000pro) or software.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: Awsome deal for someone looking to upgrade...as your budget allows.
Average Bargain Case

Pros: This case is fairly nice looking. All components seem to fit properly and case wiring is all of sufficient length. The price was hard to beat during the Shell Shocker special. I really like the mesh panel front and it appears to have very good ventilation.
Cons: Flimsy. My last build was with a different brand case from Newegg that was a few dollars more than this one. I wish I had stuck with the same case for this build. The sheet metal is very thin and the case has a fair amount of flex (more than I find acceptable).
Overall Review: Maybe it's light weight for portability! Time will tell as to how much of a dust collector the mesh front it. It does have some type of filter material behind the mesh, but it does not seem very easy to remove and may prove troublesome to clean. I am also concerned about the plastic tabs that attach the front panel. Ultimately only time will tell how durable they are. Overall I am disapointed with the quality of this case, but with the sale price and free shipping I'll live with it.
Solid Performance

Pros: It works extremely well with latest version of WinTV. Reasonably priced, easy to install.
Cons: Need decent signal strength for QAM. I had problems when I was only at 60-70% diginal sugnal stregth (picture/audio stuttering and audio dropout). I changed to a better coax splitter for my cable (Comcast) and not with 80-90& signal, no more problems.
Overall Review: I get a ton of QAM channels on my Comcast including a handful in HD. Running in XP (non MCE), Q6600, 4MB Ram. I am not overly impressed with the capture quality, though I am still fiddling with some of the settings to improve upon that - very visible interlacing lines. This is the only reason I'm not giving 5-stars.
