TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV200 Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit, up to 200Mbps
TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV200 Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit, up to 200Mbps

Pros: So, I'm paying Verizon FIOS for 60/60 mbps internet speeds (or something in that range). However, the only computer in the home that actually gets that speed is the office computer which is hard-wired directly into an ActionTec router/modem. For quite some time now I have struggled with the reliability and speed of the WiFi network to which my home's computers are connected. My son's computer, which is located just across the hall from the main modem/router, barely gets 18 mbps download and 10 mbps upload. I spent a lot of time researching how I can use an improved router instead of the one provided by Verizon FIOS in order to improve WiFi reliability and speed throughout the home. However, changing routers would result in the sacrifice of many of the cable features for watching TV. Only until recently did I stumble across this "power-line networking" thing. After watching a few videos, I was surprised to see that these adapters dramatically improve the speed of the network for connected computers. I bought this set and it arrived last week. Let me just say, I was amazed by the results. My office computer (which is hard-wired via Ethernet into the router/modem) gets around 58.3 mbps download and 63 mbps upload. After setting up the power-line adapters, my son's laptop now gets 58.1 mbps download and 62.8 mbps upload!! I didn't really believe it at first, because I didn't know these could work just as well as a hard-wired connection. I kid you not, these things work really well. I don't know if my power-lines are an exception or not, but I am extremely happy with this product. HOWEVER, before I get future buyers' hopes up, I do have one qualm with these adapters. After running a speed test on a computer located at the other side of the house, the speed via the power-line adapters dropped to 17 mbps download and 17 mbps upload! Of course, the connection will be much more reliable using these adapters, but I am almost certain I could get better speeds using my Amped-Wireless repeater (a wifi connection). Overall, the product works just as I expected. I am a little disappointed that the speed did not hold up so well across a long distance, but I am sure results will vary depending on the home's power-line layout.

Cons: Cannot be connected to a receiver, speed dropped significantly across a long distance

Overall Review: I'm going to try to keep this review short, so here it goes. I purchased this cooler for modest overclocking and not so much for its cooling power as for its design. The H60 keeps our i5-4670k at around 35 Celsius while doing mundane tasks via the web/desktop. During gaming, I was getting temps around 40-50 Celsius. These temps are pretty outstanding for the price of this cooler and I think Corsair did a great job. Keep in mind, however, that I haven't owned many coolers in the past so I can't offer you all any comparisons. Installation of the cooler on an LGA1150 board was pretty simple. However, I would highly suggest getting a buddy or family member to help you out, as keeping the mounting bracket in place while screwing everything in can be a hassle.
