Most Favorable Review

Great for the price.

memorex 8.5GB 8X DVD+R DL 50 Packs Spindle Disc Model 05732
memorex 8.5GB 8X DVD+R DL 50 Packs Spindle Disc Model 05732

Pros: - Haven't had a single failure with my Asus burner (DRW-24B1ST). - At this price, I get more than twice the amount of data storage than other competitors. - The lack of labeling is nice, I can use my trusted sharpie and the label doesn't get in the way of writing or seeing it.

Cons: - Not really a con, but I was impatient while I was building my computer and burned a copy with my laptop drive. It supports DVD-DLs, but I guess not these, as it failed at 31%.

Overall Review: - Stay away if your using a laptop?

Worth it on sale.

Samsung C27H711 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 2K Resolution HDMI, Mini-DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Flicker-Free LED Backlit Curved Monitor
Samsung C27H711 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 2K Resolution HDMI, Mini-DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Flicker-Free LED Backlit Curved Monitor

Pros: The colors and panel quality appears great to me. Mine arrived without any dead pixels and works exactly as advertised. The curve is subtle at this screen size and nothing appears distorted or "curved" when in use. Its hard to say, but it feels easier to "look at" than my previous flat 27". Could be a total placebo affect, its rather subtle.

Cons: The stand is angled in such a way that the monitor takes up too much space depth wise, and the stand and wire routing in general is just silly aesthetics getting in the way of functionality. It works fine and is stable, but only the tilt can be adjusted. If you plan on switching from hdmi to display port there is more work involved than there ever should be. I have to imagine there is a Samsung engineer out there somewhere who hates the design / marketing team.

Overall Review: Without a sale, the monitor is priced similar to better offerings from other manufacturers. Samsung only offers a one year warranty on this monitor, but competitors offer three year warranties for similar products / price. This is only a 60hz monitor and has an average response time for this panel type. Competitors offer better refresh rates and response times for the same price. That said, in use I've not had an issue with the refresh rate nor response time impeding my enjoyment of games and videos, but everyone's expectations and use cases are different. Its simply worth noting. I got the monitor for a little over $300 on a sale. I think for close to full price at $400 - $450, I'd recommend looking at other models too. This monitor does have great color as best I can tell though. So if that's what you are looking for, Samsung delivers there.

Great Card

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100363VX-3L
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100363VX-3L

Pros: Worked upon installation without any trouble or hassle. Plays all my games on excellent settings. This is all you need from AMD for 1080p gaming. Plays GTA V at roughly 45 fps with near max settings. Could easily hit 60 with lower settings if that's important to you.

Cons: This card loves power. The power requirements are much higher than a comparable Nvidia card. This is not a fault with Sapphire, but a design issue from AMD. As such, not going to take away from the card's rating.

Overall Review: This card is HUGE. Its also heavy for a video card. It dwarfed the replaced XFX 6870 significantly, and it was not a small card either. You will likely need a full ATX case to fit this beast.

Free is Good

AMD GIFT Dirt Rally
AMD GIFT Dirt Rally

Pros: Free - Really, what more is there to say? The game itself is actually pretty good if you like the idea behind it. I found it refreshingly different from most racing games I've played.

Cons: The game is actually somewhat hard, especially for a casual racer like myself. The game is still in early access, so the free reward's value is arguable. I remember when buying an AMD video card included both Total War - Shogun 2 and Dirt 3. That was a steal.

Overall Review: The process to get the code for the game could have been more straight forward. If I recall I had to find the code within my Newegg order history somewhere, enter that at an AMD site, then into Steam. Just email us a link to the AMD site or something...

Working Great

Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 997002
Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 997002

Pros: Its 8GB of RAM at a good price. I've had good luck with Mushkin in the past and this product was no exception. Plugged both sticks in and they work as expected.

Cons: Nothing thus far. Maybe I'll have an issue, but I doubt it.

Overall Review: I can't recall if I had to manually set any timings in my motherboard to get the ones listed. You usually have to, but I already had Kingston RAM of the same specs installed, so my motherboard was likely already setup.

Works Great

Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996527
Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996527

Pros: -Out of the box and into the mobo, no problems and worked flawless, awesome. -Its sitting in my case running at 470mhz x2 (ddr2?) and works flawlessly.

Cons: -Not a con, but thought I would mention that in an AMD Mobo I couldn't get it past 940mhz, I used increments of 20 so it might reach a little higher. It was unstable at 960mhz or above though without voltage changes.

Overall Review: -I only got 2GB and paired it with a Regor 245, ASUS mobo, and a 9600GT and it works great in games. Now to get my other 1GB.
