Most Favorable Review

Right size, volume discount

OKGEAR 6" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Straight W / Metal Latch, Silver, Backward Compatible with 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps
OKGEAR 6" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Straight W / Metal Latch, Silver, Backward Compatible with 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps

Pros: Short. Volume discount. Works.

Cons: Lack of color selection - they don't make them, not Newegg's fault I think. Lack of end connector selection (straight, right, etc)

Overall Review: With cases getting smaller, especially with HTPCs and the like, I surprisingly found a lack of reasonably priced short SATA cables on offer. Luckily I found the Newegg volume discount on these and got a few. Everywhere else seems to have 3 foot long cables for cheap, but 6 inch? expensive! Go figure.

Ok product, but sticker residue and bad instructions

Enermax ETS-T40 Fit CPU Air Cooler, 200W+ TDP for Intel/ AMD Universal Socket, AM4 / LGA 1700/1200/1151, 4 Direct Contact Heat Pipes, 120mm Silent PWM Fan LGA 1700 Compatible
Enermax ETS-T40 Fit CPU Air Cooler, 200W+ TDP for Intel/ AMD Universal Socket, AM4 / LGA 1700/1200/1151, 4 Direct Contact Heat Pipes, 120mm Silent PWM Fan LGA 1700 Compatible

Pros: This is your typical tower cooler. Fan is quiet at lowest speed.

Cons: Two major negatives: 1. Taking the 'protective' sticker off the bottom of the heat sink, it left a horrible residue (pic attached). I couldn't get it off scrubbing with alcohol, and only after resorting to mineral spirits did it come off. 2. Instructions are horrible. No guidance for LGA1200 (or mention of it) in the box. On their online channels they show one LGA1200 install with a water cooler block, which is different hardware. So it took forever to try and confirm the right bits and pieces to use for LGA1200.

Overall Review: It's an OK tower cooler especially if you get it on sale. Be prepared to break out the mineral spirits to get the gunk off. Box from Newegg seemed like it had been sitting in storage for awhile, but was new.

Good monitor

ASUS VS Series VS247H-P 24" (Actual size 23.6") Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz HDMI VGA DVI-D SPLENDID Modes Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor
ASUS VS Series VS247H-P 24" (Actual size 23.6") Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz HDMI VGA DVI-D SPLENDID Modes Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor

Pros: 1. Matte screen 2. Fairly minimalist 3. Overall for the price and quality, it's great.

Cons: 1. Glossy frame is not needed. Wish they would focus on minimalist matte frames like Samsung of the past, Lenovo present. 2. HDMI and controls printed in white on the front. Silly. 3. A few stuck pixels on 1 of 2 panels. Not worth the expensive shipping to send back, if they would even take it. Would be out of rebate period also. 4. Light bleed, not so great blacks... but that is any edge lit LED LCD for you.

Overall Review: Stand was wobbly side to side, not something the adjustments can tighten. It's a tiny stand. I have it mounted so it's not an issue - rock solid. Would pick up more of these if needed. Overall compared to others in its class, 4-5 stars.

One stick dead, need to pay to ship back to Patriot RMA

Patriot Signature Line 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PSD38G1600KH
Patriot Signature Line 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PSD38G1600KH

Pros: Nice low profile heat spreader.

Cons: I got a good deal on these from newegg. When I got to installing them awhile later, one stick is completely dead. Need to postpone build and wait for an RMA, which I have to pay to ship the memory back to Patriot. Not pleased at all with this.

Overall Review: I hope their RMA process has a decent turnaround.
