Fast SSD

OCZ Agility 3 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) AGT3-25SAT3-240G
OCZ Agility 3 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) AGT3-25SAT3-240G

Pros: This drive is fantastic and I've owned SSD's before. Coming off of a Sand Force 1 SSD drive that runs on SATAII at 220 mbps to this drive, which works with SATAIII writing and reading at double the speeds is definitely noticeable. The price I paid for the drive couldn’t be beaten. The unit at the time was $219 with a $20 mail in rebate, plus I got 15% from Newegg with a coupon. Outright I paid $186.99 and will still get my $20 mail in on top of that. For a 240G SSD, that's an outstanding price....thanks Newegg. NOTE: Be sure to install the drive first and download the tool box application from OCZ and update the firmware on the drive. The firmware cannot be updated on the drive is it’s the primary drive. Also if you do it this way, there is no need to format the drive and make it allocated. You can simply leave it as an unallocated drive, update the firmware and then allocate the drive during the windows install.

Cons: non so far

Most Critical Review

High Failure rate - be careful if drive is made in China

Seagate BarraCuda STBD2000101 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail Packaging
Seagate BarraCuda STBD2000101 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail Packaging

Pros: The storage capacity, drive speed, cache and $99 price I paid for the drive are the only pro's. 2TB 7200 64MB Cache

Cons: I just received the drive 09-12-12 and installed it in a brand new "SIIG JU-SA0A12-S1 enclosure". I already own one of these enclosures and have used it so for the past 9 months with no issues, so I bought another. On power up, the drive is making 5 distinct clicking noises and then it stops. These clicking noises are distinct drive failure indications. The HD will not show up in device manager and any attempt to scan for new HW causes windows to lockup, until it's removed. Even if the drive is installed within the PC or another enclosure, which was attempted, the result is still the same. I had previously seen reviews for the drive and warnings that the ones made in China not Taiwan or Thailand seem to have a higher failure rate, especially within a short period of time. Not a shock that the drive was DOA out of the box and also made in China. I've contacted New Egg for an RMA / Refund. Next time I think I will stick with WD. I own lots WD drives with limited failures.

Overall Review: Very unfortunate issue, but not New Eggs fault. Poor manufacturing on Seagate's part. I'm still giving 1 egg.

Good router for the price

Linksys E1200-RM Wireless-N Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n
Linksys E1200-RM Wireless-N Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Well I bought this router on Newegg as a factory referb for $23.99, compared to the normal $50 retail price. It was well worth the risk. I bought the unit for my mom, since her last router had a lot of issues and this one worked great. Average speed with a wireless N NIC card on a laptop was around 145-175mbps. So far it’s been very stable.

Cons: If you use guest network, it will only allow a max of 10 guest connections and no more. This doesn’t matter what the subnet mask you have defined is set to or if you have a large DHCP pool to play with. This is something that is not listed in the product details and something that my Netgear WNDR3400 doesn't have a problem with.

Love this keyboard

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

Pros: I own one of these keyboards already and love it so much; I ordered another one for the office. The price has been on average around $40-50 so I waited and it paid off. I got the unit on Newegg for $27.99. Would recommend this keyboard to anyone for conform and ease of use.

Cons: non so far, but would be nice if it were a mechanical keyboard.

This card is worth the purchase

HIS IceQ X Turbo Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity H695QNT2G2M
HIS IceQ X Turbo Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity H695QNT2G2M

Pros: I'm running a Sandy Bridge Intel Core I5 2500K OC to 4.2 from stock 3.4GHZ with 8GB of Vengeance 1600MHZ memory, 2 Solid State Micro Center Brand drives Raid 0. My previous video card that I was running with this setup was an ATI XFX 5770, which I was getting average FPS of 34-45. With this ICEQ 6950 card, my FPS is averaging 85-100 FPS in Bad Company II. My average ping in the game has gone from 132-145 down to 90-108 ping. I cant wait to see how it handles with BF3.

Cons: None so

Overall Review: The additional promo item that they give you from new egg with the purchase is Dirt3 and the method for obtaining this game is a joke. First you have to get the promo code and then download it through Steam. Steam is so crazy that they don't bother just giving you the install file for the game, instead the give you most of the files that would come on the install disc and the game doesn't run and hasn't for me thus far. Putting the files in an ISO didn't change this either. Also, you can only run the game through Steam from what I've noticed. I really wish if they made simple and put just the install out there for download.

Great Board and a good price

MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This board was definitely made better that previous generation of MSI Boards. If you asked me a year or two ago would I buy MSI, the answer would have been no, since gigabyte was my main choice for OC. These guys are putting better components it the boards, thus resulting in better stability, overclocking, etc. I've had this board for less than a month running with an Intel core I5 2500K, 8GB of Corsair Vengeance 1600MHZ memory, 2 Solid State 64GB drives RAID 0 and an ATI5770. I overclocked the unit immediately with the OC Genie on the board from 3.4 GHZ to 4.2 GHZ. The unit has been stable since day one. Performance is unbelievable, considering I was running a Q6600 Quad Core 2.4 OC to 3.2GHZ with 6GHZ of 1300 MHX memory and the 2 solid states. There is little to no wait time for this thing and my FPS in my games has gone up a lot. The only bottle neck that I have now is the Video Card, which is next to be upgraded

Cons: OC genie works great, but there are several settings within the touch BIOS or UDIF that need to be adjusted before using that button. Once the settings are set in the BIOS, you should first save your OC profile, save the settings and then power off the machine. Using the save and reset for some reason causes the profile to sometime drop. I think it would be a great idea of MSI actually indicated which settings should be changed, but lucky for my one of my friends has a board with the same touch bios, etc and he ran through the settings with me.

Overall Review: I would think that by now, PCI is outdated and should be gone. For what reason MSI kept PCI on the board and didn't add additional PCI-e smaller slots is beyond me.
