Pros: Good price
Plug and Play - set 6 GPUs in with risers and install your OS + Drivers --- start mining.
Overall Review: They tend to sell out fast.
Pros: The price is really cheap, yet the build quality is quite good. The blade is metal and while the handle + sheath are plastic they feel like good quality. It takes more then just a look to tell it's not an authentic medieval or renaissance dagger. This would make a nice costume piece. I would buy this again in a second.
Cons: At this price, or even double the price, no cons.
Overall Review: The edges of the blade are not very sharp, but the point is. This would do allot of damage if thrust into something with even minimal force. NOT a child's toy!
Pros: A pair of 5 dbi antennas provides for excellent signal range and quality. These provide an Excellent Signal whereas the former wireless card only had Medium signal strength.
Cons: Costs more, but the better quality antennas are more than worth it.
Overall Review: Fourth Rosewill Wireless Card I have used on my own personal machines; so far so good.
Pros: Excellent Cooling Capabilities
37C @ Idle
57C under Full Load for 30 min. (BitMining)
61C for VRM temp under Full Load ^^^^^
Ambient Temp. ~ 22C
Better Price than it's Competition
Looks Cool, at least to me it does.
Cons: Not the Rev. 2 model... hence the VRM heatsink doesn't work on an HD 6970, but that's easily fixed with several smaller ones. Not a huge issue, but it does take a little longer to install as is.
Overall Review: I bought this to replace a stock cooler on my HIS HD 6970. It lowered the temps under load by 30C. And it's totally silent in comparison too. I can't hear it over my case fans, even when stress testing.
Make sure you install ALL of the Heatsinks. Some major review sites neglected to install everything and therefore had VRM temps over 100. Take your time and it will work wonderfully for you. :)
Pros: Good Performance for it's Price
Great Price, especially with Promo Code and Rebate
Very Good Cooler... 100% GPU load temps never top 63 C even after running Overclocked to 960mhz for 24 hours straight (Fan on Auto, which is Silent).
This actually vents part of the hot air out the back of the case, most of the 6770s just dump it out into your case...
Overall Review: Very impressed with this video card, the cooler is about the best in it's class if you don't want to spend $30 more for a VaporX or IceQ etc.
Pros: Good performing single slot solution.
Very good temperatures, both idle and under load.
Cons: I bought 2 of these and after a half day or less one of them begin to rattle non stop... the fan was hitting the shroud. It did that in every position, flat, upright, perpendicular, in the case and out of the case. I sent it back for an RMA..... crossing my fingers and hoping the one I get back is like the good one I have and not the bad one. :/
Overall Review: I still gave it 3 eggs because the cooler on it is one of the best single slot coolers I have ever seen... it even Overclocks well. The other one I have has been running non stop for several days now and has not yet exhibited any signs of an unbalanced fan. I do however not plan to purchase anymore of their products as this is the second video card in 2 weeks time that has had serious problems.
Pros: Good Price
Good Performance for it's price range.
Cons: When I received the video card the temperatures were quite high, and upon further examination I discovered that the cooler was not firmly attached to the chip itself. The TIM was actually visibly separating. After I removed the cooler, cleaned the old TIM off and put some Arctic Silver 5 on it, I reseated the cooler and ever since the temperatures have been 14 C lower @ idle and 25C lower under load.
Overall Review: I would have given this 5 eggs if it had arrived in proper working order. PowerColor needs a little better quality control as this is the second video card of theirs I have had issues with in less than 2 weeks time. I am deducting 1 egg for the actual problem and 1 more egg for making me invalidate the warranty to fix it myself. :/
Pros: Works just as described.
TV Installed in 15 minutes or so.
Can be adjusted side to side quite a bit.
Overall Review: Good Price.
Pros: Performs very well in modern games @ 1080p resolution.
Runs reasonably cool for a reference design cooler.
Priced very well for it's performance.
2GB VRAM is very nice in certain games (see Other)
Cons: Automatic Fan Speed Controller does not scale as steeply as I wish it did. Problem solved by setting Fan Speed Manually at 50% - which cannot be heard above my case fans.
Overall Review: I got this beastie for $310 after rebate, which is a great price imo. I can now play Crysis Warhead with an avg. of 57 FPS on full Gamer settings with 4x AA @ 1080p, which is something I have wanted for a long time.
Temps: 39 C Idle - 75-80 C After playing Crysis Warhead 2 hours. This is in a very well ventilated HAF 932 case with an ambient temp. of approx. 23 C.
Pros: Runs Cool & Quiet.
Powerful enough to play Oblivion & Borderlands all Maxed Out at 1080p with a steady 50 - 60 FPS in both.
Very good price for the performance.
Cons: As long as the Rebate shows up this is a 5 egg product at this point.
Overall Review: Have not received a rebate yet, but it's only been 6 weeks and these things usually take at least 2x that long on avg.
Pros: Runs Cool
Sufficient Power to play major release games with high settings on a 19" LCD (1440 x 900) even most games from 2010-2011.
Very Fast Rebate Service (as always with XFX)
Only $50!!!!!!!!! (after rebate and sale code)
Overall Review: I used to run CrossfireX 4850s and loved them to death, but have since upgraded to a card better suited to play the latest games @ 1080p. So when my teenage brother in law wanted a new video card I knew exactly what to get him. He can now play the games he wants and is more than delighted with it.
Pros: Good Performance in just about any game at 1920 x 1080
Very cool - max of 57C, usually 54-55C while playing Far Cry 2 & STALKER Call of Prypat @ highest settings (DX10)
Cannot hear above case fans, even at full load.
Great price, esp. with rebate. :)
Cons: It meets & exceeds my expectations, so NO cons here.
Overall Review: great GPU - would buy again.
Pros: Lots of planes to choose from and all handle differently.
Looks really really good with DX10.1 and all settings maxed at 1080p resolution.
Great CoOp features.
Cons: Viewpoint in Assistance Off mode is stupid at best. It's more fun to play with Assistance on anyways so not a big enough deal to take any eggs off.
Overall Review: Allot of fun to play and the CoOp feature is great - you can have a friend pop in and out at any time during a mission or a campaign and help you out, no matter where they are in their own single player campaign. You can also play at Extreme difficulty while they play at Normal or High if you choose to.
Scales well graphically, just drop it down to DX9 and nearly any "low end" gaming computer can handle it at max settings.
I got it for $6.99 with Free Shipping at the time and it let me install on 2 PCs. It might not be worth $50, but it's kept 2 ppl entertained for more than 2 weeks now and that's a good deal in my book.
Easy to switch DPI settings without installing any Software (Windows 7 at least)
You can switch between multiple LED colors
You can change the weight to suit your individual preference.
Basically everything it says on the box.
Cons: side buttons and middle wheel button are a little stiff; took me about a week to get used to them, not a problem now...
Overall Review: I got it for about $20 as part of a combo deal, and for that price it's insanely good. For $60 I can't say as that it's better performing than some of the competition. I will say that it is a very BIG mouse and if you are like me and have large hands and long fingers (aka: you can palm a full sized basketball) then this is a good mouse for you. If you have average or smaller hands it's probably going to feel unwieldy. For example - my wife has a hard time with this mouse, whereas the Logitech MX518, which is a large mouse, works just fine for her.
Pros: Looks Cool
$15 with Free Shipping at time of Purchase
Cons: Doesn't even cool as well as a stock AMD Heatsink.
I know it's cheap, but I expect better than stock cooling out of it.
Overall Review: I had 2 AMD 7850 "Kuma" Processors that I installed into separate systems at the same time. One of them I fitted with a spare stock AM2 era heatsink; the other one I fitted with this Xigmatek heatsink. I used the same Thermal Paste that came with the Xigmatek unit on both CPUs. The stock heatsink actually performed better by 6-7c both while idle and under 100% CPU load.
I don't regret this purchase, since it does keep the CPU at safe temperatures, but I will try a different product next time I want a cheap heatsink.
Pros: Reliable, fairly well priced, honors rebates, runs as advertised with a voltage bump up to 1.65 on my MSI P55 -GD65 motherboard. helped me achieve 16780 on 3dMark Vantage with an i5 750 OCd to 3.6 ghz.
Cons: As mentioned in several places the heat spreaders are tall, but not abnormally tall for gaming memory - just be aware that oversized CPU coolers coupled with this RAM may make the first RAM slot on the mobo unavailable....
Overall Review: I've used 3 or 4 sets of Patriot RAM in the last year and I've been impressed with all of them. Seem to run a little faster than some other brands I've used..... I would recommend them to anyone.
Pros: I got this for $10 last year and I played it for 2 months straight. It's not your typical shooter, and that's a good thing. This game drew me in better than any other shooter since the first Far Cry..... if you can crank the graphics up (takes a decent system, even a couple years after it's release) it looks great and the storyline is pretty good too... add that into an atmosphere that is the best of any game in a long time and you are all set.
Cons: It's got some bugs and quirks, but there are excellent fixes and/or mods to take care of most of them.
Overall Review: I know this game isn't for everyone, but if you like dark themed FPS with a dash of RPG elements and some tactical gameplay - then you need to check this out.
Pros: Price - I got it for $20 after promo codes and rebate.
Comes with 3 Fans (2 are RED LED)
Clear Side Panel
Comes with Manual (not very common in a cheap case)
Cons: FLIMSY - extremely chinsy, it's not that it's poor worksmanship, it's just made with very cheap materials and the steel is the thinnest I've ever seen on a PC Case.
SHARP - be careful the edges and corners are sharp. The edges of the side panels are sharper than some of the knives in my kitchen - this is a big problem if you want to get in to your case on a regular basis, you can't avoid touching them..... also no thumbscrews for either side panel.
Overall Review: I knew that this was a cheap case when I bought it, but I have bought 10-12 cases over the past year or so and 2/3 of them were under $50 (like this one). This is the worst quality by far. I could rip the drive bays out with my bare hands if I wanted to. As long as I get my rebate back it's worth it just for the fans, but I won't be buying this case again.
One star off for the super thin and flimsy steel.
One star off for sharp edges (in unavoidable places to be precise)
Left 3 stars for Price, Fans, Size of it.
Pros: Performance is excellent, no need for anything more than this unless you just sit and run benchmarks all day.
Price, $170 for this much power is a steal.
Fast, runs Vista Home Premium 64bit and the latest games or graphics intensive software with no trouble or even a stutter at any point.
Good stock cooling, OCd to 3.4 ghz without a hitch, could have gone higher, but I was happy with those results. Temps with 100% CPU load stress test for 2.5 hours only hit 51 celsius.... I've seen after market coolers worse than that.
Overall Review: I built a high powered gaming rig for a client who wanted to be able to bring work home as well (Photoshop, Blender, and other similar programs). This CPU fit the bill perfectly and the overall price was far lower than the customer expected, which is always a good thing. :) Great power and performance for the price, best ratio on the market in my opinion.
Pros: Simple design, with just a touch of elegance on the front panel - perfect looks to blend right into the corporate setting, or any other location where you want the case to be something other than the focal point.
It's not made of the sturdiest materials, but it's well put together, the edges match up well and the rivets etc are well done. The 2 side panels slide off or on with minimal fuss and actually fit perfectly without adjusting them to line up with the screw holes.
Plenty of interior room for the basic builder.
Price, esp. with a Ten Dollar rebate and free shipping can't be beat; even if you don't use the 450 watt PSU.
Cons: At this price point there are no cons for me. This case is exactly as advertised - no fancy bells or whistles, and no need for them either.
Overall Review: This is the third Raidmax case I have bought in the last year, and so far it's the best model imo. I will not be using the PSU that came with this one, but the other 2 cases came with 480 watt PSUs and they are both running strong after 8 and 4 months respectively (low end systems each tbh).
I like Raidmax for budget builds.
Pros: Good Quality Motherboard for the basic Gamer or general User.
Nice amount of features, esp. for the price.
Black Series looks really sharp and sleek in the right type of case.
Integrated Graphics are pretty good for older games at least.... way better than most in it's class for sure.
One of the better User Manuals at this price level.
ATX size, layout and features at a Mini-ATX price!!!
Cons: Second edition motherboard I bought gave me issues with the driver disc that came with it. I swapped out the IDE cable to the Optical Drive and it worked great after that.... most likely wasn't a fault of ECS, but I should mention it.
Overall Review: I have bought 2 of these motherboards in the last 8-9 months for 2 separate builds. I have been pleased with both of them. They each booted into the BIOS on the first try, and have run well ever since. At this price range I would buy another one if I need to put another budget build together in the near future. :)
Pros: Cheap and easy to install.
Cons: Noisy. It rattles and spins very loudly when a disc is first inserted. Whenever the drive is accessed it vibrates and is irritatingly noisy.
Overall Review: I don't think this is due to installation, since I have reinstalled it in 2 different slots and it is very snug; it seems to be the drives' internal parts that are vibrating. It works well, but it's irritating and I'm afraid it will not last for the long term. This is my second unsatisfactory experience with LiteOn and I will not buy from them again.
Pros: This is a simple and fast little optical drive that performs well and is Quiet. I am delighted with this. It isn't the fastest burner out there and it doesn't have lightscribe, but it handles functions smoothly and is nearly silent in regular operation. As usual, this is a very sturdy Asus product.
Overall Review: I just wish I had bought 4-5 of them for future builds at that price. :)
Pros: Low Cost for an essential item in any computer builder's tool kit.
Clamps securely to case and stays there.
Cord can be unsnapped from wrist band easily and quickly (great for getting up to answer the phone in a hurry etc)
For what it is quite comfortable, just think of a slightly tight watch on your wrist. :)
Overall Review: Came for free in a combo, but it is worth the full price in any case... a must have.
Pros: Good roomy interior... plenty of space for almost anyone.
Comes with 3 fans already... very good air movement inside.
Cool LEDs on sidefan and front.
Comes with 420watt PSU (enough for a basic build easily)
Cons: Front and top of case feel somewhat "cheap" as long as you don't drop the thing on it's head though you should be fine...
Overall Review: I bought 2 of these in less than a week for builds for family members. The cool design (clear side panel and LEDs etc) make the young ones happy and the cheap price makes the old ones happy. For it's price range this is an easy 5 Eggs. :)
